Will there ever be a way to change specs in a tfo or not? This is needed badly... and yes this is still an issue that I haven't seen alot about. My char can not be at his best in space or ground tfo's because of this "oversight" by cryptic or whoever runs this game.
Why? You can easily make a build around spec's that have both ground and space benefits so you don't have to worry about this.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.
better idea. set it so they all are on, all the time. if we're gonna add effective power creep because some players prefer to always be optimized lets not waste time with half measures.
alternative, revamp the whole specialization system so space and ground are always separate specializations. that you pick you set for each.
if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.

commando as a secondary is hard to beat plus the way it is now commando and strategist are useless.
Personally, I run Intel and Temporal; they're an extremely effective combo.

Why is it "needed badly?" I've failed maybe 3 total TFO's out out maybe 400-500 random advanced runs. And all of the failures are due to bugs and glitches. I use intel/strategist and I never have to think about swapping specs because it's just advanced. Space advanced is easy enough with the right setup. Ground advanced is way easier regardless of your specializations. So set yourself up for space. If you need help optimizing yourself, feel free to send a PM on the forum or in game.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

My main is routinely gimped because she's Intel/Pilot, yet still does alright. Would do better if I even just switched to another spec tree that had both, but I like the turn rate boost in space.
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

There was STLV chatter from Cryptic about trying to set up seperate Space and Ground in the future.

I actually thin just making ti able for us to switch specs during the pre-mission briefing would be fine, as some of them we have basically what 30 seconds to do what ever is needed. So opening that time for a.so switching your specs to suit the stf you landed in would make sense, though adding specs to the load out saving system would make it quicker to switch too.

No it isn't.
However, it would be nice to be able to set different specialization sets for space vs. ground maps as a general feature not specific to RTFOs.
