Can't log in through Arc launcher on PC

Anyone else getting the message "Login has timed out. Please check your network connection and try again" when trying to log in through ARC on PC? My internet connect is obviously working since I can post here and surf the interwebs just fine.

    My launcher freezes for a bit and then I get the Unable to Authenticate message.
    Now a LTS and loving it.
    Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
    I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

    yea my launcher is saying the same thing (Login has timed out. Please check your network connection and try again) what's going on here

    Well I am logged in at the moment. Have been for the 40mins. Not going to log off though until i head to work though :)

    This is what I just got on my launcher. Haven't seen this before.

    Unable to authenticate: Couldn't initialize token login
    Now a LTS and loving it.
    Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.

    I came here to see if I was the only one. Glad I'm not.
    Here I was, looking forward to farming some dilithium to upgrade some equipment.

    normally I would advise posting this in the bug sub forum as it's not permitted to post bug reports in the general discussion. In this case I will make an exception for the moment. For those of you getting these errors, can you get me a screenshot demonstrating your specific error? This is for documentation purposes.

    I also want you guys to try a workaround for me. Try pulling up just the STO launcher itself and bypassing arc outright. Instead of trying to launch through arc, go straight to the STO launcher. If that lets you guys in, that will tell me it's arc side and not per say STO itself.

    I can't login through either method. "Login has timed out" every time .

    I had already done that when first got the error and got "cannot connect to account server(3)" on the launcher

    OK update from my side.

    Exited STO, and went to log back in through Steam (which is basically just a pointed to the launcher.exe) and had no issues logging and getting into the game. No errors on the launcher or on the character select screen for me

    I'm able to get into STO and CO through their respective stand alone launchers.

    No connection even through STO launcher. Thing is I was just in the game, but couldn't log back in after I came back from a break. I was also noticing issues with the overlay screen. It logged me out when trying to make a purchase inquiry then wouldn't let m e log back in. Also getting BAD GATEWAY when trying to get into the account on the site.

    Same here... tried the STO launcher and got the "time out message, check network connection and try again". This also happens with the ARC launcher with the same time out message.

    Just talked with support in live chat. They said there are aware of the situation and the Devs are working on it. The problem is there is a Sta Trek Convention going on that most went to. This always seems to take forever this time of year because everyone is at Star Trek Convention in Vegas. For most businesses that means the low man on the totem pole gets left behind. The one that has the least experience dealing with problems is left to go through the list of troubleshooting. Also the usually are quick about posting the problem being known on Twitter or Facebook but no posts as of yet. Which means he probably went to Vegas to.

    I can now get directly from launcher, just not through Arc

    I finally found the actual game launcher in the folder c:/program file (x86)/Star Trek Online_en
    Not the shortcut it puts on the desktop.
    Tried it and it works. I am able to log in.

    Thank you, works for me too. ARC seems to be busted.
