Anything that comes out on PC eventually makes its way to console. Remember that PC is actually ahead of Console in terms of content.
That this is still the case given that STO came to consoles in 2016 is utterly ridiculous! They do occasionally allow some things to occur simultaneously across all platforms and that should be the norm by this point. Not doing so has nothing to do with the approval process from their licensees either. It is only poor planning and internal management issues with Cryptic/Perfect World.

Well, the best counterargument for those claims is the recent grind event for a free T6 of your choice. Won't happen on PS4 & XBOX because Sony & Microsoft don't approve such a thing.
Just be glad you have the PC platform to Beta test this stuff before it gets to the Consoles.

The fact the Summer/Winter events run at the same time has nothing to with the approval process anymore because that was done a couple of years ago, and considering that content does not change, there is absolutely no need to reapprove it. The case stands that NEW content has to be approved before release, and it has absolutely nothing to do with Cryptic's planning or your imagined management issues. Whilst it's going to be easier to port to XB, PS4 runs on different architecture, which in turn adds to the delay. Why would anyone release patched software on ALL platforms and run the risk of having to take down ALL versions when a major bug crops up?? Cryptic's way of doing things makes good old common sense.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

Yep, Cryptic will sometimes do emergency patching on PC a day or two after a critical issue is found. With Xbox and PS4 that is just not possible because of needing to get approval from Microsoft and Sony.
This is another one that should be added to the F.C.T. list since it keeps coming up.
