Are the different Traits going to be available in the Account Starship Traits Tab once unlocked? A lot of people are not using Phasers on Fed, or Disruptor on KDF or Plasma on Romulans or Polaron on Jem'Hadar.
About the fleet Hoover, does anyone else feel that model implies that an overweight nebula had an affair with an Oberth and that ship was the TRIBBLE child?
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
I really love the look of the Edison. The ship team has been killing it with the updated looks of the Fed DSC ships, it's a shame they haven't taken the time to make modern looks for the Klingon ships. It would've been cool to see what they came up with to bring them more in line with current KDF design aesthetics.
Except for the Klingon ship (which is from another universe) , they all look very good. If they aren't oversized (maximum size of cca the sovereign), I'd consider buying. Even though i'm still angry that Borticus nerfed coilgun and my lobi were wasted.
Well, since three of the four can be used by Federation or Klingons you can get three Mastery unlocks for each. Same for Romulans and Jem'Hader.

Or not.... It seems the trait you get when you finish mastery is based on your faction, not the ship.
Agreed...
"For Starship Traits, the both the name and the damage type affected will change. In both cases, Dominion captains will be getting a boost to Polaron weaponry, Romulan captains to Plasma weaponry, Klingon captains to Disruptor weaponry, and Starfleet captains to Phaser weaponry, as fits their signature weapons."

Yeah I don't think it's a good thing since it means I can't get the plasma boost trait on Fed, or disruptor on Rom... etc...
take a walker saucer(or is it the patrol escort?), remove the dish and add a glowy spot..... hmmm throw some malem wings on there.... sprinkle fancy doodad and voila! its a warbird! ..... and since its just a stat clone lets further erode the fractions by letting everyone fly it! GENIUS!
ugh seriously??? 2yrs for this???
its kinda pretty lookin, dont get me wrong, and Imma be gettin it.... but damn that is one lazy as hell design
edit:
at least I get a bespin cloud car
Fed is DSC design so nothing Cryptic could do about that. Looks like a Miranda-ish type ship. 3/5 stars
Personally, I hate the DSC Klingon ship designs. 1/5 stars
The Romulan ship is the winner here, imo, looks slick and dangerous from those views. Could have made the deflector(?) a bit less visual; Rommies don't really show their deflectors. 4.5/5 stars
Jem'Hadar is kinda boring/predictable, but then it's not like you can do much with Jem'hadar w/o making it not look like a Jem'Hadar ship. Looks a lot like the ship that comes off the Jemmy Carrier's aft. 4/5 stars
Obviously they are attack ships so lots of Tac. LC sci is nice. Always like having the option of a grav well. Can have 2 Lt. Eng so that works well enough for survival in most cases. My main 'eyebrow raising' issue would be the Temporal spec. After Temporal got nerfed, it's just not really a feasible spec of boff powers to have. So many of those powers depend on getting stacks of entropy it's hard to get full use out of those powers before the target dies. I've experimented with Temporal powers myself and just couldn't get anything worth the boff power slot it took up. If anyone has a good Temporal boff power setup, I'd be happy to see it.

I was kind of hoping for something closer to a T6 Bug ship, but those are locked away.
To those who said they gave up on the Romulan faction especially the Romulan ships, I told you so. They were working on the Romulan and Jem'Hadar ships, they just have limited resources and are not Blizzard or EA. Thanks.
Told you so what? People complained that we had not yet seen a new Romulan ship. We all knew Romulan ships would come back eventually. We just didn't want to wait as long as we have ended up waiting. Personally, I'm not big on the look of any of these ships. The stats do look pretty good though and the ship traits are interesting too. The news that non-Romulans can fly the Romulan ship is also interesting news and the way that the ship consoles change stats based on your faction is interesting too.
Overall, I'm looking forward to seeing how this bundle plays out. I think there's a lot of good new ideas being implemented here.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.
The latest article from Jayce's Interstellar updates the latest on the Alliance Cooperative Starship Development Board. The Federation, Klingons, Romulans and Jem'Hadar are now all sharing new technology.
Since we non-Romulans can now all fly this Romulan ship, does that mean when we get an Event Ship with a special Warp Core or Episode Reward Warp Core we will now also have access to the corresponding Singularity Core as well?

It better be a science warbird or sci-destroyer transformer to match that temporal seating. Already like the way it looks, and disliking the other 3 designs.
Feds and KDF are doomed with Disco styling from now on it seems.
Completely agree with you about the ships looks and yes, we are doomed, last ship i bought from the store was the Narendra
So if I'm reading this correctly, if I don't care about having the different looks for all the different factions, I can just pick up the Jem'Hadar ship and use it on Fed, KDF, Romulan, and Jem'Hadar characters.. giving me the faction-variable console and trait, and the ship (which is basically the same across all four versions) as well as the strongest of the ship-type mechanics (the vanguard wingmen).
Saves me wasting all that money on the four pack.. thanks!
The erosion of faction identity continues, first with Roms getting access to most KDF/Fed ships depending on faction alignment, now KDF/Feds flying true warbirds with singularity cores.
What's stopping the flood gates now to unlocking nearly all warbirds to all factions? Sure, there will continue to be those faction unique ships, but they will remain at a premium and rarely ever made.
Temporal on anything but a sci ship seems a poor fit, but I will still get the warbird only since it can at least drain shields or debuff the target some.
Look forward to seeing the Edison in game, kinda seems like a really nice design, but the copy-paste everything is not fun and my Feds can fly the warbird anyways.
Getting back to the article and it's announcement, it really sounded to me that the factions would be sharing technologies and designing new ships together. Here is one quote from the article. "Representatives of the ACSDB also announced inaugural programs for new Romulan and Jem’Hadar starships that utilize allied technological advancements and logistical resources." Aside from the stats, what technologies do these new ships share? The Romulan ship has Romulan technology. There's nothing Federation, Klingon or Jem'Hadar about it. Even the trait is faction specific. I would love to see a Romulan cruiser that has a warp core, and not a singularity core. If the factions are now sharing technologies, why do the Romulans have to be married to singularity cores, plasma beams and plasma torpedoes? If you read the article, it doesn't sound like the factions will be sharing ships. It sounds like they will be sharing technologies and helping each other design new ships. Also, ships that look like they are designed by two factions could be interesting. Look at the Delhan (sp), and see how it looks half Romulan and half Klingon? I think a ship that looks half Romulan and half Miranda class could be cool. I am also guessing the Fed players would rather have a Fed looking ship with a singularity than fly a Romulan ship, just to get access to the singularity core. Having ships that actually share technology from other factions would be more interesting to me than simply getting to fly ships of other factions, and that's what it sounded like the article was about.

Just a note here..
While what you typed here is totally true, don't let that fool you into thinking you need all the ships. The energy weapon boost is pretty inconsequential overall, the big appeal of the trait is the weapon cycle haste upon activation of bridge officer power. The bonus to the energy weapon damage is likely a Cat1 boost (we'll have to wait for confirmation) which is incredibly easy to replicate through many methods.
I for example, am probably going to buy the Romulan version then unlock the trait with all my feds that use Phaser. Ideally, yes.. I would prefer to have the Phaser or Disruptor variant of the trait, but none of my Feds are going to fly this ship as their main and my KDF characters won't either. Being that I won't actually use the ship, playing 2400 Zen per ship (on sale) for the different traits isn't worth it provided that the only difference is the passive energy boost.
I will just buy the Romulan version, unlock the Mol'Rihan trait on my feds and use it for the haste. I am not going to pay 2400 zen just to change the Cat1 boost from Plasma to Phaser, that just doesn't make sense to me. The Romulan and Dominion ships can be used by anyone.. buy one (or both) of them and just use the trait on everyone.

Same here, I'll see what I'll acquire with the free ship token when I get it. The only bright side to me is that finally they made a rom T6
Original STO beta tester.
Yeah, the Hoover looked a bit like a Disco era Nebula Class... But I guess they decided something else.

Maybe the JH ship too, eventually, funds permitting. Not the main faction ships.

Why am I not surprised my Discovery-themed Science captain gets the shaft again? What's with all the hate for science ships?
I have a feeling they will.
