Crystalline 1st place reward bugged?

Hello. Yesterday I completed the Crystalline TFO event twice with 2 different characters. By chance I got the first place in both cases.
Usually there is a price for the first place, 2 very rare objects Mk XII.
I received four, each time. Is this a bug or the reward has been improved?

It was at least 4 rewards, vr all IIRC, yes.

You welcome. You know, there are people that prefer honesty over personal gain. Moreover we don't know the extend of such bug, it may affect parts of the game we don't know.
Not only hidden mechanics may be broken but the overall balance of the game may be compromised.
Always report a bug, even if it is "beneficial".
No idea what's with two places simultaneously, though. Seems something is wonky with it.
It's its way of trying to make it up.

I can't possibly disagree more. This isn't a case of honesty, since nothing is improved by you being honest in fact, if anything the experience of other players is negatively impacted by your decision.
The experience of other players will be fine without bugged double rewards. Heck, the experience of other players would be fine without the gear rewards at all. You said it yourself, they are virtually worthless. Nothing needs to be improved by people being honest, as it is its own reward, or so the saying goes. A bug being removed, even one that benefits the player, is an improvement, though, so that also doesn't apply.
There is all kinds of weirdness in those rewards right now. You can get a normal single reward for Third place sometimes, or a double Third place, or a Third place and a Second place, or a double Second place. I haven't seen a single Second place reward, or gotten a First place to see if there's a version that's single or a version that's First and Second place together.
By the way, I didn't say it in the announcement thread, but I actually agree with you that there should have been some kind of conversion for old vouchers that were deprecated, even if it was just to convert them into the new vouchers. The work was done to earn them, so it would have only been fair.
Then on another two, 1st place, got double reward.

Though previously it showed only the "best" so it might be bugged so that it's showing all your rankings and rewarding for them rather then just the best.
It can't be just a double reward bug or it would always award the same "place" twice. Receiving both a 2nd place and 3rd place simultaneously suggests that it is looking at 2 different metrics, with me (and others) placing 2nd based on one metric and 3rd based on the other. One metric of course being the standard DPS with the other being ???
Sheer speculation, maybe the devs are experimenting with being able to track something other than just DPS, like maybe healing as someone suggested, so that players acting as tanks/healers are no longer "penalized" for not being DPS chasers ?
I have gotten double placements without healing. I think it is just Team and Instance placement.

I assume that the bug calculates you for each team so instead of the reward of your team, you get rewards from both teams entering.
So basically, if you get a 1st place, you get 4 items instead of 2.
It may happen that you get a 2nd and a 3rd place, meaning that in a team you were considered 2nd and in the other 3rd.
