I don't know about anyone else, but from what I just experienced with a player and npc's with this knock back pushing (longer distance than usually experienced).This is getting very annoying. Got a player pushing the final boss way out of distance, Npc's pushing player ships way off course. This ability has a place but once again it's demonstrated that not even players can use it properly. Time for the nerf bat once again on this ability.

Ok... first off... a blanket nerf is not the answer. You're not specifying what is causing it. Just demanding a nerf to everything that causes a knockback effect.
Second... there are ways to counter things like Tractor Repulsors, such as Polarize Hull.
Third... have you considered the posibility that it isn't working as intended, as in bugged?
Nerf demands never go well here. if you think something is bugged, then ask if others have experienced this and try and identify what is causing it so that it can be bug reported.

I've noticed that any abilities of mine with repel seem to be pushing enemies further away than they used to at ridiculous distances. The repel from High Yield while the Overwhelming Force trait is active seems to be causing this to happen.

Yea... I got a friend who said something about Overwhelming Force throwing a Herald Dreadnought across the map like a pingpong ball

I want them to make it so Overwhelming Force works with the Romulan Reputation torpedo again. It was fun to watch.
I do know that the 3 piece Adapted KHG space set has a repel clicky(last I remember, the repel was around 3k-4kish with garbage gear) that was strong enough to shove the Terok Nor space station around in Counterpoint, last year. Or move the transwarp gates in the Borg space TFOs. And the giant crystal in CCA. I wonder if it's amplified now...I would definitely blast the crystal as it's winding up its damage immunity, just to send it into somewhere or a group so that it can make a mess. Just to give it a little lovetap, let it know I mean business.
This is probably overwhelming force like others have said.
I have a cruiser that can run this trait, a captain in the T6 Excelsior. That ship has command seating. Command seating has a nice LtC power for torpedoes called concentrate firepower 3. This power when active, gives whoever gets a torpedo strike an automatic HY 1 and immediately ends torpedo cooldowns, every 2s. Now, high yield torpedoes are what triggers overwhelming force.
The incredible hilarity of managing to get 2-3 high yield torpedo strikes on an enemy before the overwhelming force bug tosses them 30+ km away from 2-3 procs in quick succession is indescribable. It is clearly a bug, but it is hilarious.
One proc may still toss them beyond your weapons range, but it usually won't throw them to the wind, though it can if the captain has enough control expertise. Another captain I have with this trait flys a science ship with a lot of control expertise. No command seating, but one proc of overwhelming force will usually throw the enemy 10-15km away.
While its definitely annoying for regular STFs, for those wave defense STFs, it can be pretty nice to make it a lot easier.
Still its a bug, and the person doing it may have no idea about the bug, yet, having just gotten the trait. Or, they may be well aware of it and use it anyway but to avoid the bug they deliberately do not take high yield torpedoes on their ships, yet they end up in an STF with a command ship running concentrate firepower, and manage to win the free HY torpedoes that triggers their overwhelming force proc which then causes the problems.
At the end of the day, though, its just annoying, and probably won't break anything.
