Brig interaction not working

I am playing cold comfort, and i can not finish the mission because i cannot turn on the acoustic dampening field around tran's commanders cell. The mission tracker shows that that is what i'm supposed to be doing so i am at the correct time in the mission. I have beamed out and back, but that didnt help. I've beamed out, dropped the mission and restarted it, 3 times, but i still can't start up the dampening field. No matter where i move the interaction just doesn't pop.
Someone posted in general discussion that they had the same problem and that the cell interaction on the Axiom(cardy shipin the first spectres mission right) wont happen either. I submitted a bug in game, but thought i should post here as well.
