Can’t place bridge officers in type 8 shuttle

Whenever I choose my type 8 shuttle I can not assign a bridge officer to man it. It shows a blank black screen whenever i try to choose a bridge officer to man the type 8 shuttle craft. Am not able to see nothing when Trying to assign this shuttle.
