Yes I'm still pounding this road but in a different way. What Mirror Ships would you like to see? Mind you nothing special, just perhaps different console/boff layout and T-6 stats but no ship trait. something most of us could acquire not just a select few, like they did with the mirror ships before. all lockboxes used to have 1 super special ship (the 1% or less) and mirror ships u had like 20-25% chance to get (or at least markedly good enough a chance that back in the heyday you could get one for like 1m max on the exchange).
I'd like to see Mirror Prometheus and Galaxy personally, especially if the galaxy had a better tac base. Main reason I want these is the ISS prefix and competitive stats. I have the old mirror Prometheus, and its 20k less Hull than my Fleet T6 with no option to t5-u (which would also work instead of a whole new ship)

I don't need Mirror ships per se, but I would love Mirror skins and prefixes.

More KDF Mirror skins honestly. I kinda like the brass/gold and green on the ones that are currently available. Glad I picked up a Mirror Vor'cha to unlock that skin for my Vor'ral. I would LOVE to see how many of the ships that don't have a T5 mirror counterpart look with those materials.
The first T6 Mirror ship was from a charity donation, to Chase Masterson's anti-bullying charity, not a lockbox. The current one is an R&D promo, not a lockbox. Additionally, anyone who wants to can get the current ship without any need to spend money at all. You should at least have accurate information in your posts.
there's still only a REMOTE chance of the current ship. i said nothing about real money being spent only the chances of it. I got my Valkis without spending a cent. still yet, its not "easily acquired". The post posed a question and set a couple of parameters based on past experiences with the game as compared to the current model. part of the problem, is that none of the ships have been what I wanted, nor what a few others wanted. certain Iconic ships that a lot would love to see an easily accessible mirror variant of is the question. None of the Mirror T6 ships currently out meet the parameter of "easily acquired". Now, if you read the post I mentioned the mirror ships that DID come in various lockboxes going back before LoR. these were T5-ish ships. so, I didn't post inaccurate information, you misread the post.

To be fair... Promo ships do tend to be more expensive. But that's the thing with Promo ships.
At least the R&D/DOff Promos can be put on the Exchange or traded. The Mirror Guaridan is just not available period unless you were able to donate to that charity at the time. Personally I wouldn't mind seeing it eventually made available via Infinity Box or even Phoenix Box. Preferably the Infinity Box.
I don't need Mirror ships per se, but I would love Mirror skins and prefixes.
actually the main reason for the post but it seems getting mirror prefixes for existing ships is a more difficult fight than originally thought. find the ships that there's a demand for and maybe we can get those variants back in updated form.
back in the heyday you could get one for like 1m max on the exchange).
Actually, you could have them for virtually nothing. Like 20k EC back in the day. The fact is those days are over. You get 3 easy and 100% free T6 ships to acquire every year anyway. 1 summer event ship, 1 winter event ship and 1 anniversary event ship.
Now to answer the title of the thread. I would LOVE to see a Mirror Excelsior Promo/lock box ship that is more tactically focused. It would look something like this.
Instead of a universal console, give it something we haven't seen before. Give it a special Terran transwarp core that has unique stats that are even better than fleet warp cores. Write some blog about how the Terran perfected transwarp or whatever and how this core gives you more transwarp locations with zero CD or something like that.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.
What is hard about turning Dill into EC and buying the ship? I do it constantly, any people who want to can as well.
ugh. how do I do this without simply insulting you: oh read the original post. Galaxy and Prometheus in mirror form for a t5-u or t6 do not exist. second off exchange rates are beyond obscene. we are going back to "easily acquired by the average player". dilithium exchange rates are going up again. on top of that I'd rather pay cryptic for more work on the game as opposed to the greed of other players.
again, apparently you didn't read the original post. none of the ships we should be naming the post are even available in the game at this point. heck I'm not even looking for dread's or anything major. the mirror Prometheus would be an update of the mirror patrol escort (unless they decided to go with a complete redo of the console layout). Mirror Galaxy would be a new thing, but SUPER cool. Someone mentioned a mirror connie. Our introduction to the mirror universe was the ISS Enterprise NCC-1701 so of course. We had a PS1 (or was that PS2) game introduce us to the ISS Excelsior, and we got to see the ISS Enterprise-A. TV gave is ISS Enterprise NX-01. DS9 gave us the ISS Defiant. Speaking of DS9, the KCA that would run the basis for mirror Klingon and Cardassian ships based on the unique variants that would've created.
I wish someone that mattered would respond to this thread as a whole. The mirror ships are a rich area with likely more demand than can be expressed in the forums because a lot of the player base doesn't come here. Everything from the mirror prefixes (especially the ISS) to the paints and skins are in demand, as well as full ships. If this was a courtroom I would've made my case and probably be looking forward to flying an up to date Terran Hestia around. This isn't a courtroom though, and so far all we have got is little to nothing. as to the ships I want it really is nothing. Sometimes I fly around my old mirror patrol escort but it isn't really even up to t5 stats, not to mention t6 and therefore isn't really competitive in advanced queues save for SB1.
Honestly that's all I really want. Nothing super special, just something I can transfer my build over to for a Terran look to it. No new consoles, no new traits, just...I don't know, something.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

I read your original post, the whole thing, I disagree with every bit of your assesment on difficulty of acquisition. The present spike in dillithium exchange rates is entirely due to the current R&D promo, the rate will drop when it ends just like it always does. Exchange prices for ships are not obscene, they are a fair price based on the usual cost to acquire such ships by the person opening the boxes, and have been very stable for years. Every ship purchased, either thrpugh the Exchange or the c-store supports the game, any Lockbox, Lobi, or Promo ship represents real money paid to Cryptic, either by the buyer or the seller, or whoever the seller bought his keys or zen from, the money was paid by someone, and it supoorts the game.
As for the ships, no Mirror ship has ever been in the c-store in the entire history of the game. There is no canon mirror galaxy since the terran empire did not exist in the 24th century, Mirror Galor and Mirror Neg'Var yes. The mirror Defiant (which did not have an ISS prefix because again the empire did not exist) only existed because the designs were stolen from the Prime timeline.
Lastly, me disagreeing with you does not and will never mean my ooinion does not matter, and you failed your supposed attempt to not be insulting. While I have not insulted you at all.
my post is there so apparently it flew past the mod. either way-no mirror ship has been on the C-store. correct. they came out of lockboxes. on the exchange. for a like next to nothing price. as for the "current spike in dilithium exchange prices" I guess "current" to you is a period of several months. its been in the 310-320 range for a WHILE now. the prices are obscene, and always will be simply because some player acquire the ships first pop, ive never got a lockbox ship and only ONE promo ship in 6 or so years of play. trust me, ive tried. the exchange prices have been stable for years because theres still people dumb enough or rich enough to play them. Ive also spoken with players who grind for months or a year or so to acquire ONE ship. and ive watched prices climb over time. I used to buy a key for 1.5 mil a pop, and would regularly. Now its 4.5 mil. now I refine dil and pop a key every 120 zen, but that's because im collecting lobi. I gave up on a lockbox ship a long time ago.
ill disagree with you about ships bought though the exchange. Ships bought from the C-store support cryptic. Ships bought on the exchange fuel the greed of whatever player sets it for hundreds of millions which is far outside the acquisition range of the casual player, and im not going to convert real money to EC through selling keys to give to another player. I'll buy zen, buy keys/ships from C-store and have that money go directly to cryptic's pocket.
You are still taking this FAR off topic, unless you have a mirror ship you'd like to see that hasn't been presented yet.
FYI all ships named that weren't in canon have been seen in game (including terran galaxy/gal-x but I just want terran galaxy). The models/stats exist we as players just need/want access to them.
@thay8472 The yellow T4/5 skin, the red T6 skin, the brown Styx skin, the grey DSC skin, and the awesome and regal purple Aegis.
What a pretty ship.
I'll see what I can do with Demorecord. Though I'm afraid I have no clue what the purple skin might have been called.

Your opening post makes perfect sense as you can see from the rest of the good suggestions being posted here.
Me personally i'd like a DSC mirror skin (the black one) for my prime ships like the Gagarin and Pathfinder classes.
Full ship wise, i wouldn't mind a mirror version of a Miranda class with a more tactical focus to seating, or possible science leaning instead.
Uhhh dude Lobo ships sell for at most 185 mil right now. I'm a member of the trading community in game and I can safely say if you're paying 250 mil for a loli ship you're TRIBBLE up. The thing is the reason Lobo ships are cheaper is out of those 180 keys you're opening you're getting tons of other items to sell that most of the time make up for the price discrepancy between lovi and lockbox ships.
rattler2Member, Star Trek Online ModeratorPosts: 58,597Community Moderator
Lockbox ships typically stay around the 250-300 mil mark on the Exchange. Which is pretty reasonable based on supply. Lobi ships generally around 200, and have a bit more of a stable supply due to not being luck based on the part of the seller. The old secondary prize ships... I've seen sell for less than 10 mil. Its the R&D ships that tend to be more expensive because of how rare they are.
The Dilithium Exchange fluctuates based on how desirable Zen and/or Dilithium is at the time. Anything that makes Zen more desirable will naturally drive the price of Zen up a bit. Anything that makes Dilithium more desirable (Phoenix Box) will bring the price down.

Honestly when it comes to mirror ships it would be nice to see a pack, or something that adds more mirror variant skins for existing ships we have. What might be fun to see is both the ships of races that either in the prime setting never got them, or races that from the federation's existence stopped developing them further, but yet with the changed outcomes of events in the mirror timeline might have changed.
Please, stop arguing and stay on topic. Thank you.

The T5 Mirror ship prices went up quite a bit percentage-wise when Admiralty was introduced, as did the T5 Delta Quadrant secondary prize upgradeable ships.

Now to answer the title of the thread. I would LOVE to see a Mirror Excelsior Promo/lock box ship that is more tactically focused. It would look something like this.
Commander Engineering
Lt. Commander Tactical
Lt. Commander Universal/Miracle Worker
Lieutenant Science
Ensign Engineering
Weapons: 4/4
Device Slots: 4
Tactical Consoles: 4
Engineering Consoles: 5
Science Consoles: 3
Universal Consoles: 1
Cruiser Commands
