I'd say lately that the Dyson ground battlezone is my favorite place in the game. I have been having so much fun in that place. Sometimes, I wish there were more people there, and then every now and then I think, wow, there are way too many people here.
How about the rest of you?

My favorite places have definitely changed over the years, depending on my progress in the game. Some of the places I used to love I now despise. Right now for space I'm really liking the Gamma Battlezone. For ground, I've always loved Nukara.
Dyson is one of my least favorites. Way too hard to navigate.
One of my favorites is Nimbus, because (so far) it's the only place that you can take a full Away Team.

Nimbus and the Solanae zones, these have a lot of neat facets to explore from the setting, activities, and their narrative context. A couple of my characters have been based on a crew's exploration of the Solanae spheres for example, there's a lot to work with there.

Looking for something new to play? I've started building Foundry missions again in visual novel form!
My favorite place to be is one of the most under utilized places. The Bozeman map is incredible, and yet we get it for only a little bit of time. Makes me sad to see it wasted like that. It really should be able to be visited outside of the event.

I used to be a big fan of the Specters arc (Spin The Wheel, What Lies Beneath, etc), but Arc appears to have done away with it. The missions were sublimely creepy in a way you really don't see in any other mission arc.

Arc has nothing to do with the game, that's Cryptic.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything.
Another voice for Nimbus. While I usually don't play it as much as I used to, especially if no new toon needs to go there to do the missions, I am always delighted when it comes up. In my opinion it's the nicest of the battlezones because it's not only "mission regions" but also some (limited) exploration feel with different stuff in different places. Yes, you can kinda also "hang out and do some random stuff" on New Rom, but full away team feels more natural. I still like New Rom, just not the gather rock missions. Kobalistan is okay-ish, Solanae is nice gameplay wise but as a zone doesn't have any feel apart from "do mission", not least because every region does the same, while Defera is, well, ... Space zones are similar to Solanae, so they're technically okay but don't connect as a zone.

At one time, the DBZ was also my absolute favorite place in the game. Especially when it was newer and it was poppin' 24/7. In space, SB24 was my favorite spot. Especially when you could just roll in solo or with just another teammate. One of my RL friends pretty much gave up on the game after SB24 was removed sadly.
These days, I'd say that my favorite locations are DRSA/DRSE, Defera and Nimbus all in a tie for my favorite ground spot with the DBZ coming in close. In space, I'd say Cure Found Advanced is my favorite.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.
I rather enjoy Nimbus III, Kobali, Dyson Ground, and Nukara for ground.
For space I like what I call the "Japori Run," which includes the space combat missions within RR space, Badlands, and most system patrol-like areas that are not frantically polluted with asteroids, nebulas, or space being some bright color for no reason (Starbase 39 Siera, Sherman System... Why is space green is these places?).
It seems lately with new missions and TFO's someone has decided that quality means layer upon layer of things and stuff that would likely make the inhabited world in the map uninhabitable.
On a side note, I hope that someday, we get Memory Alpha and the old Anniversary Edition of Utopia Planitia brought back to the game (at least as part of a mission).

I like Nimbus, Q's Winter Wonderland, New Romulus and the Bozeman map too!
I don't particularly care for any of the other big battlezones.
Thanks to your profile pic, I remembered how much I used to LOVE mine trap. I'd give away one of my character unlock ships to play this one again just once.

Mol'Rihan (New Romulus for the un-initiated) will always have a special place in my heart, even if it never does get finished. It's gorgeous, the music is soothing, the Spock memorial is just in an amazing spot. It'll always be a fav.
Gameplay-wise though...
For ground I'd have to say the Dyson warzone. Kobali comes pretty close, but Dyson seems to just have a more rewarding feeling to it. But Kobali is intentionally designed to feel like dirty trench warfare so that does make sense.
And for space, I don't think I have a fav spot. Space is all about my ship - either getting to my destination, or putting the ship itself through hell. Doesn't much matter to me where.
EDIT: forgot to add favourite mission. I'd have to say the new Disco ones, because the cutscenes are really good. The last two hero pics in my sig are from the Disco missions, and my god does my toon look like a badass.

Yaaaaaas! It's hard enough choosing four of my team, let alone the places that limit you to two, or even one. We need more places to take a full away team that aren't mission-based.

Yes! I loved Mine Trap as well. Just another example of the good stuff being taken away, I guess.
For STO, probably the Forum Thunderdome, as that's the only PvP that this game has left. Though that's gotten stale as well. Oh...You mean "in game?" Fleet Dilithium Mine that's fully upgraded and decorated. Seeing the crystals in all their formations, the space above, and the hidey-hole cave that you go on the bounce to. And I like the interior of the facility.
Mission-wise: Quark's Lucky Seven, by far. It has the actors from the show, it's funny as heck, Leck is crazy awesome, T'Ket's comes back and has to rage-quit once more, it offers a save for the much-maligned House Pegh with the Sword of Kahless, Brunt gets hit by some well-deserved karma, Grilka is shown and the animation work is stellar. Sure, your character doesn't get to do much, but it's worth it.
Hub-wise: Deep Space 9. It's faithful to the show, has many beloved canon characters, and the bank and exchange are literally just a few steps away from the shipyard commodities. Also, it's an insignificant detail but you can climb the stairs OR bypass them with a prompt and choices like that are always welcome. Only annoying thing is the ONE SINGLE soundtrack lopping again and again and AGAIN...
Zone-wise: Dyson ground battlezone. It has a nice blend of advanced-yet-old tech and when you don't get pounced on by enemies, it offers a nice relaxing yet strangely slightly oppressing atmosphere, especially as you uncover its story before it's abandoned.

You know what I think about traps in your Fleet's mine. Hidey-hole cave my TRIBBLE!

I would have to say New Rom is still one of my favorite places, would love to see it finished but the first time I went there and the theme music was playing for it... aah that was epic
Lately though for a place to just hang out while doing tfos or talking in fleet? DS9. Really great revamp, chill at Quark's a lot
I enjoy Nimbus III as it’s a full away team map that looks pretty and is “open all hours”. Plus it has an interesting character to it that is not found anywhere else. It’s the true roguish side of the Trek universe.
Kobali os another favourite but it’s woefully underused by players. Can have a decent long run fight all the way up the mountain there and it looks pretty amazing. Decent challenge too and fun with a team.
Dyson is one of my least favorites. Way too hard to navigate.
This!! I find Dyson a nightmare to navigate. Up in the sphere, I find it very hard to find my way around, the buildings all look very similar, and there are a lot of objects. I fly by minimap and pointer, and the prompts on-screen in the white brackets. I'm still in the Dyson Sphere quite often, as it's a pretty map with great pick-up missions and DOFF tasks, and there usually are people in the battlezone. Down on the ground, the map is even prettier, and it's even more of a nightmare to find my way around. Ever so often, I bump into invisible walls between parts of the map.
Favourite spots:
Mol'Rihan/New Romulus. I like collecting rocks - feels like exploring a new world. And the map is just beautiful!
Deep Space Nine and Drozana station tie for second place. I'm often at the jumja stand, or looking at the wormhole. But for me, nothing beats Drozana if I'm looking for a shady space den to make shady deals with the bartender. Selling Romulan Ale and weapons at the bar in ESD doesn't feel right.
Favourite zones: Defera Borg Invasion Zone and Gon'Cra. Now if there was a space battle zone with Borg and Dyson-like pick-up missions...

I find it impossible to even take seriously that someone could get lost in the sphere. You have a map for TRIBBLE sake. Even without the map, there is nothing in the way, nothing blocking your camera. It's as stupid as the flaming morons who somehow managed to get lost in the Exploration clusters which were empty squares.
I have a map, I have a big screen, I have everything except a fully functional inner ear. My eyes do not talk to that part of the brain that tells me where left/right/up/down is, see?

Yup. The Fleet Mine looks sooooo much better than the public mine.
