"You're all... astronauts, in... some kinda star wars!"
Looks more like something out of Warhammer 40k then from Star Wars.
Still it could be worse, also best way to consider "fire" is that it's "heat" rather then literal fire, kind of how "Anti-proton" is used to mean "everything we don't have set energy type for yet" rather then just literal anti-matter. Still it's possible for things to burn in space all you need is a source of oxygen and heat in fact regular firearms would work in space just fine until they would overheat.

Was hoping for a Tier 6 Carrier, but a pilot escort could be interesting.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
Usually i don't like ships in the game that look totally NOT like Star Trek, but for the Fek'Ihri i can kinda accept it. That said, i must say that this is an awesome looking ship, i really like the style. And after some posts i read here, i can even accept fire in space
I just wish it was a dreadnought or carrier, since i really don't enjoy escorts much - way too much work
> @lnblade said: > Looks like the Reavers from Firefly got hold of Meap's hotrod ship from Phineas and Ferb
I would never have come up with that, but it is awesome!
I like the demon hotrod, but I admit I can't imagine TOS Kirk encountering one. The flames may be inefficient, however considering they are all about intimidation, it fits. I also want the special effects on my Kar'fi, please As for the flames, wouldn't fusion work for that? Not much oxygen on the sun but it still gets pretty hot.

O.o' How do you define "totally NOT like Star Trek"...

I have no clear definition - just a gut feeling. Ships that i could never imagine being in any decent ST Show (which excludes STDisco and JJVerse for my taste). But it's just my taste, because the Jemmie bugs qualify for that too, and they HAVE been in a decent ST Show. *grins*
Thanks for showing it with all the shield options, that's a nice touch. ^_^
Has anyone noticed in the Shield Options Pic, about halfway down, a listing of "Discovery (KDF)" and "Discovery (FED)"? Does that mean we're getting a ST: D based rep in the near future?

Cryptic, would you actulaly like me to spend actual Money? It's Simple:
Full, Story-driven, select from start 1-50 Klingon Side
Scrap current Lock Box & Lobi system for something more reasonable
Expand Dil and Rep/Fleet Marks to regular story content

I think that's just the Discovery Vanity shield.
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.

The discovery lock box had two vanity shields... one for the discovery's material, and one for the sarcophagus ship's material.. which is what those are references to.

It would be interesting, except for it being a Destroyer, more specifically of the Warship subclass. Destroyers generally have slightly lower turn rates and slightly higher hull than Escorts, and get a different Mastery package of traits. Warships are Destroyers with 8 regular weapon slots and no experimental weapon.
This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.

Huh... I was thinking WarCraft. I just know someone's gonna be ridin' around in that thing screaming "FOR THE HORDE!"
Now that you mention it does look a bit like some the orcish waterborne vessels or the airships, only the Draenei and the Burning Legion have things that could be called a spaceship so I didn't think about it first, where as WH40K is scifi (or science fantasy for the pendantic).

IIRC there's just 1 shield that gives different effects based on your faction but I could be wrong, in practice it doesn't matter though.

Greatly agreed! Some good looks there.
Nice! =D I've made some "drednoks" for some of my KDF crews.
And knowing is half the battle!

Definitely does. I keep thinking to this:

For me, it looks like it's the ship of a dark and edgy new pilot from a new F-Zero game.
Fair enough, didn't think about it that way, since IIRC S'torr would be pronounce more along the lines of "sotor" or "s*pause*tor" then "star".

LOL! That is funny, I think the exact opposite...prefer the little fast ships...the others are too much work.
(You know, I am getting light headed...I should go eat some breakfast. And get the heck out of here, no longer adding anything useful to any convo.)

Apparently I have a stalker. Cool.
So you can get more than1 per run through?

You get 40 per run so it takes 25 runs/days to earn the ship. The run has the usual 20 hour cooldown that most evets have.
Still waiting to be able to use forum titles

Maybe, but you have to provide your own fire.

IMO the KDF one is cooler, but putting the Fed one on non-Fed ships is fun too.

Beavis would LOVE this ship!
