At first I was excited! I kept hoping there would be some actual game-play around this, that it would be related to some new feature, mission, or event.
I had the same thoughts of this a precursor to a future Temporal Agent Event, but our Ambassador says this is not to be.
So consider me slightly more confused than entertained.
The Ways of Cryptic are mysterious, and perhaps mere mortals are not meant to understand them.
You need to think of Star Trek Online as a marathon, not a sprint. Senlac t'Karveth Sometimes the Universe allows for the making of unexpected memories. Philippa Georgiou No matter your shame, gather your strength. Find a way to help those in need. Sarek of Vulcan
but i want to go back, i didnt volunteer. but good knownledge
You didn't volunteer. As we said in the military, you got voluntold.
And now you have a new master, with all the fun programming to overhaul you. Consent is not required of the TDO. It's gonna happen.
i was being scaristic, but yes i know military way. i'm army brat, if wasnt for being handicapped i would been military myself. i want go back and grab, tilly not cause i romance her. but to ring her neck. i think she knew actually the klingons were looking for and bout the glenn.
Any chance of a central Temporal Investigation Headquarters with AoY and AoD era vendors selling the 23rd century items?
The Captains table is not viable to be that headquarters being a lifetime subscription perk.
Excellent idea, I could understand Cryptic wanting to limit that possibility of options to a degree but that type of convergence might make it easier for any current & future "time travelling" concepts including recruitment events.
Funny, pity it isn't actually in-game. If they put half the fiction blog stories in-game... we'd have a better game I suspect. Almost wonder if this is to give in-game flavour for why STO's mission chronology is changing in real life? With people zipping about the time stream and wrecking havoc on causality, I can't imagine it's terribly stable.
It's a continuing "let's kick the can down the road...we'll be fine..." sort of thing. This is what some of the other races are worried about. The time travel/timeline abuse. Especially since the only ones displaced currently, are Federation/Starfleet faction characters really. And it's just a matter of when before we get a reverse grandfather paradox, another Empress Sela, or something screwy like Back to the Future happening.
It is a shame that the majority of the blogs aren't really doing anything for the game. How many of them could be made into viable missions?
Can we go back? **** the Galactic Union and their genocidal schemes.

This is before she was assigned to Discovery, and before she was read-in on the spore drive project.
i know but saying she knew something, based on how she acts when you get to engineering. but i have feeling we aren't done with her. i know nirror esp.
I wonder if the have a refresher course for all these displaced people:
Klingons are our friends
Romulans are our friends
Borg are robot zombies
Also we have space bugs
Kobali are non-robot zombies, but nice.
Some of the Borg are our friends, but most aren't.
Wish they had Romulan Temporal recruits......though it would be heartbreaking to find how much tragedy was in the future for the Romulans.
Even more tragic is that many would not be that surprised. Mark Leonard's and Joanne Linville's characters both hinted that Romulan society was coming apart at the seams and slimy but well-connected rats like Decius were becoming prominent.

It isn't a matter of when anymore, it has already happened. It is called "Discovery" which was brought about by the horrendous paradox the Tholians caused with their grabbing of USS Defiant from the original Prime TOS era and then losing it to the Terrans. And that one was so bad it tangled up the existential link between Prime and Mirror distorting both (almost beyond recognition in some parts, like the Klingorcs).
True, there are a lot of good scenario ideas in those blogs if they actually used them.

My character Emani is for RP purposes a TOS era Romulan.... who got assimilated while exploring deep space and got de-assimilated shortly before 2409.
She chose to ally with the KDF to make it easier to spy on them. And yeah, she utterly loathes the Tal-Shiar.

Agreed! Some really fine work and it's barely in game.
