As per the post on FB ..... Star Trek Online will have maintenance on all platforms tomorrow, 9/11, beginning at 5am PT. Estimated downtime is 4 hours. There are no patch notes for PC, just routine maintenance. Here are the patch notes for Console:
Kael has it wrong on here.
Thank you for doing the Community Managers job and passing along ACCURATE information.
Kael, sloppy work.. as always.
Ridiculous that we just can't get accurate news on the official forum. Does anyone employed by Cryptic read anything before clicking 'post?'
I know it sounds harsh, but c'mon man.. this is really getting old. It takes 30 seconds to proof read something before posting it.
Do yourselves a favour and make a little effort to get things correct.
I got the 15 min warning, changed toons, and viola.. Server Not available...
Hello rubber banding my old friend, time to bounce around the battlezone again, where are all my bug reports going?, out of love with this game I am falling, As Cryptic fail to acknowledge a problem exists, Shakes an angry fist, And from Support all I'm hearing are the sounds of silence.

At this stage, I'd actually be surprised if he got it right, as he seems to blatantly ignore his own work and obviously doesn't care at all about what he's posting. They call him "Captain Copy&Paste" for a reason...
@ambassadorkael#6946 you should change your forum name/handle. SMH.
I was surprised by this so I did some searching around and I see that this is just one of many maintenances that we will be having over the next couple of weeks. Not a single word here on the official forums this time about all of these extended maintenances. Did the budget suddenly get cut and there can only be announcements made about these maintenances less than a day before they take place? Can they no longer afford to make an extra post saying that there will be at least 2 more Tuesday maintenances and that the one today will be the shortest one?
Here is the schedule I found for these...
Lastly...
I feel for you, but worry not. Cryptic has created a way for you to complete your event even if you can't play the required number of days. Just head to your local CStore and purchase the Event Accelerator Bundle: The Breach for 1000 zen! You'll get 10 of the Voth Operative Transmissions and an Ultimate Tech Upgrade!

You know, I wonder if they decided to create that pack knowing this type of maintenance schedule was coming up and people may not be able to complete the event. I mean, it seems fishy to me that the last round of these types of maintenance were announced well ahead of time and then another event starts with this "can't play, PAY!" pack comes out and the maintenance is sprung on us with little warning. Nor is the fact listed on these forums there are more days ahead with even longer maintenance windows.
One last thing. Why does this post say the maintenance window will be 4 hours when the red banner of "you ain't getting in" says 5.5 hours? I'm tired and will admit to not being the brightest bulb out there, but 5am to 10:30am is 5.5 hours, correct? I'll just plan on the launcher being correct and not even try to log in for another nearly 4 hours.

They are from an article on the Arc site. Here is the link.

I'm not generally given to tinfoil hatting, but the timing is... suspicious indeed.
As for the hours, no idea. Last time we had these extended maintenances they were logged to be between 5 and 8 hours, mostly they took a little over two. I'm beginning to suspect temporal shenanigans and I really don't want to know any more, I hate temporal mechanics.
Events are always longer than you need...ALWAYS, and this is to take into account for Maintenance. It's your responsibility to plan accordingly, not Cryptic.
Chuckled at "Added short description to Fleet Mark Bonus Pool, Reputation Mark Bonus Pool, and R&D Research XP Bonus Pool items." since those items once added are ones that you have no way of knowing how much is left because there's no UI element tied to them. Unless of course the description is "add these and assume they'll do something for a while."
"The Slipstream Turnrate boost from the Obelisk Subspace Rift Warp Core and Polaric Modulator Engineering Console has been increased to 100%, from 20%." was done twice in order to pad out the patch notes and make it look like we were busy.
If you haven't noticed the pattern on that yet, it pops up once per login per account, unless there is a change to what is on the Landing Page. If there is a change to what is on the Landing Page, it pops up for every character the next time that they log in. I assume that this is by design.
I've been seeing it daily per character since Thursday that's 30 times a day due to having 30 characters. It has grown very very tiresome. Esp as it offers me nothing of value that I don't get off the launcher

NVM.. thye just changed it from 9 am PST to 10:30 am PST
There were 2 updates to what was in the launcher on Thursday, adding Breach and R&D Weekend messages, then removing Crystalline when it expired. Then there was one yesterday when R&D Weekend expired. I have 18 characters, and logged off after doing a few errands on 2 after Thursday's patch so that I wouldn't have to dismiss it on everyone, then do it all over again an hour later. It might feel like every day, and it might even have been 3 times for you since Thursday. I don't think that we have a weekend event scheduled for this weekend, so it probably won't pop up on everyone, unless they decide to swap the Gamma pack space for the new ships.
Anyway, keeping on topic for this thread, this series of Tuesdays could have been mentioned to us here beforehand. It is something that we might like to know.
None of the sources are 100% reliable, but you do need to keep an eye on all of them. What I do is see which of the sources lists the longest time and just count on that being the closest. Not always accurate, and times do get extended but if you count on the longest time being the most accurate, you're probably better off.
Hope for the best, plan for the worst.
