Like it says above, no errors, no logs just b00f Sto is gone.
It can happen in a queue, whilst doffing, whilst chatting, infact it happened twice last night in the Ce event.
This is a new pc build but it happened on my old pc build as well.

I've tried 32 bit and 64 bit mode but to avail, the only thing i'm swinging towards is that Sto doesn't like 4k monitors, but no doubt someone will post after this saying theirs is fine.

I'm not alone in this either i have spoken to other people ingame who suffer the same issue of complete and utter ctd with no errors.

Anyone? thoughts on a postcard please.

Check your STO directory for any log files created at the time of the crash. The game does not always log a crash though, as it's kind of difficult for a totally crashed program to write a log file so...
Go into the Windows Event Viewer (in Win 10 it's under administrative tools) , then go to Windows Logs, System. That's the first place to look, every time I have had a STO crash with no Cryptic error reporting I have located an error log in the event viewer that put me on the right track to figuring things out. Even if there is an error log in the STO directory, in my experience it's never enough to figure out the problem until I supplemented it with the information I found in the event viewer.

Hopefully that will at least let you find some clue as to what's happening.
    LTS and loving it.

Was happening to me until I switched to 32 bit. I know, weird....since I am on Windows 10 Home with 64 bit. But it worked.

I just wrote about what happened to me over here:
