Greetings Captains!
We will be having a maintenance tomorrow, 8/9 at 5AM Pacific until 12PM Pacific. (What time is this for me?)
You can find our PCpatch notes here. There are no patch notes for Console.

    the below problems really need to be looked into?

    Jem'hadar klingon faction waiting for access to all klingon missions!
    romulan temporal agent showing up on jem'hadar instead of showing up on the temporal character.
    still cannot change instances on earth space dock..
    defensive drone guardians ship console broke - they fly around and shoot nothing or shoot for less than 5 seconds.
    cannot go up stairs on the new ds9 as of just recently. was working, (any stairs the ones on the deck and the spirals you have to jump to do stairs.
    quarks bar, all spiral staircases inaccessible.
    The door shield on step between stars is now invisible, cannot be seen at all (scene is the point before putting on space suit to do a space walk.)

    Yeah, so when are you guys going to move the memorial plaque to someplace other than shoved off in some corner of ESD that nobody visits? IMO, it's insulting that you put it in such a place nobody sees unless they are looking for it.

    You do have a point that it would be nice if the memorial plaque were positioned somewhere better on ESD or even at Starfleet Academy but I don't consider it shoved off in some corner of ESD. Also, define nobody? Some people have visited it, some have not, and some don't even know it exists. I don't see it as insulting though. Thanks. :)

    The Gamma recruit reward doff (Elder Malik'itan) for reaching rank 4 in 6 different commendation categories is STILL listed as a SPACE warfare specialist but can only be put on active GROUND duty.

    I like the fact that it's in a quiet place, rather than somewhere where there are a ton of people running by. If you want to visit it, it's nice that you can do it in peace and quiet.

    Plus some people get insulted waaaaaay too easily.

    This does seem to be a long maintenance for not very much.

    Perhaps if you have time, you could fit in fixing the Jem Hadar Security DOFF assignments issue which has a thread at https://www.arcgames.com/en/forums/startrekonline#/discussion/comment/13394661.

    Let's not forget that issues affecting JH DOFFS also affects your ability to obtain at least one of the 40 JH rewards.

    Slot it wherever and it does what the tooltip says. There's a warfare specialist in the game already that is actually dual space/ground, but you can't slot a doff on both. You just slot it and it does both.

    Actually, major game updates aren't this long. This is the sort of thing you get when they're rearranging the server farm.

    Wonders if Jon Paul Steuer, first actor to play Alexander Rozhenko (son of Worf in TNG) will be on the Memorial Plaque. He passed away at 33 years on January 1st 2018.

    If you add 5 and 7 you get 12, so they are upgrading servers they just decided to split it up to hopefully give people a chance to still play the game on those days

    No real offense intended here, but that was a rather ignorant statement and implies that you think that addressing in-game issues/bugs is the only thing they'd need to take the game offline for.

    I don't know about you, but I'd rather the game didn't rubberband my ship all over the place. I prefer it when the game client doesn't drop me back to the login screen randomly and prefer not to see the words 'server not responding' in red text at the top of the screen.
    Sadly these are things that do/will happen if they don't perform quality-of-life maintainance on their software and servers.
    So I can live with the downtime, personally.

    plus it doesnt mean overtime work to do the entier 12 hour maintenance in one go..We all know that a work day is 9 hours long, at least where I live its 9 hours on paper..

    Age of Discovery is exactly why i am hopefull they will fix some of the bugs before that begins otherwise this game could potentially become even more unplayable due to bugs and issues than it already is.

    ooook well this is a bummer. I got up today, ready to play sto, the day after my internet stop choking every...…………….. and the server is down I just wanted to say that because I don't see the oh we are taking the server down tomorrow because the only time I have anything to do with the site is when I find the server down lol

    I don't know if this is just me or if this happens to other players, but when I try to customize my Jem'Hadar Vanguard Carrier (T6) it never works. I am speaking of the color scheme and the type of material you want your ship to be made out of. Just a minor issue, but a big annoyance.
