Just saw this in my inbox... is it real this time?

Last email about free items to claim was wrong.

    looks like it's fake.

    in fact it seems to be the same email.



    if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.

    what is the ingame welcome banner? that's where it says to collect.

      I got the email for the first time this afternoon, and I don't see anything on the welcome banner either.

      This might just be a big mess-up by marketing (like yesterday's flash NO sale) rather than a scam, since the links look like they go to Arc and not scam-site . scam

      I got the email, but have had the same experience - No way to claim.

      Too bad - I was actually excited to get something for my new VanJem to help him level.

      Indeed, it says claim on the landing banner, and alas nothing there.

      Same here. Two weeks ago, turns out it was a mistake. Fine. Now it's just getting annoying.

      I just got another email asking me "Have you claimed your free items?". Like they've been sitting unclaimed for weeks.
      No I haven't claimed them, because they're not available to claim.

      Clearly it's part of the same campaign - a follow up to the original one. Cryptic obviously didn't bother cancelling it after the first mess up, and decided to just shrug its shoulders.

      Got the email and found a large XP boost in promotions that wasn't there yesterday, think this is one of those things that if you get the email then the prize has been added to your account, problem is that these promo's are one shot deals, if you already claimed say a large XP boost from a previous promo, then you wont get anything from this promo as there's an XP boost in it.

      While I can accept a mistake, it still doesn't really explain how or why I would receive this email.

      I play almost every day and logon to all my alts for at least a few minutes to clear and restart admiralty, doff missions, and refine dil. I've probably missed no more than a day or two here or there in the past couple months. And setting aside how sad that is on a great many levels, there's no way any filter which includes inactivity could possibly be applied to me - whether it's account level or individual alts.

      The first time, about a week ago or so, it was just an honest mistake. Now it just becomes annoying, as they're flaunting their 'We really do not care' attitude a way too ostentatiously. Stop sending out that sh*t if you don't mean it.

      I got it this time around too. Will see when all my other flying highs are done. My son and SIL got the freebie stuff cause I picked it up for them on their accts during the last one.
      Now a LTS and loving it.
      Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
      I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

      did you buy gamma packs? i have a feeling this was to remind you that you have some things to claim once per account for gamma pack... or i might be wrong and it was just spam... anyway i got mail i want items now

      I did not merge this with the other email thread, because this is about a separate email message. Also, from what I understand, these emails were sent out by PWE not Cryptic, and Cryptic is looking into it. More than that I cannot say at this time.
