wingman not following

In any episode when you warp to another area within the episode, my wingmans on my jem'hadar ship do not follow. The only way to get them back is to die. Maybe make them like carrier pets and allow for me to relaunch them or tell them to warp to my location. I have tried using one of the skills to get them back but they do not come. This is extremely annoying, so please fix it. Thanks.
