Trying to buy Zen on steam, nothing happens. After a while I get two different messages

Initially it was "You cancelled your purchase" Which I didn't
and
"Your purchase failed for an unknown reason"

I have the funds in my steam wallet, so that's not the issue. People have said something about probation, but I'm playing since beta and I can use the dil exchange without any issues.

You need to be sure the steam overlay is turned on while in-game for it to work. Right click your steam icon, select settings, select "In-Game" from the menu on the left, the first check box should say "Allow Steam Overlay while In-Game". Be sure it is selected, if not check it and then click OK. Launch the game now and it should work. Good luck, hope this helps.

Thanks, but that's not it. I've been buying Zen on steam for years, but it's the first time I've had this issue.

Solved it. I had to switch back to 32bit mode to get the steam overlay to work. I'm not sure if the issue is with steam or the game client.
