Will other races be able to use the Jem'Hadar shuttle craft?

I've played the Jem'hadar dreadnought for as long as I can remember also using polaron ground/space weapons to get a real dominion type character, but the only thing that was never possible was the small craft. Up til now i used a federation shuttlecraft with a jemhadar shield to at least get the colors right.

Is this something that will change with ViL? Will the shuttlecraft that was announced be available to other factions too (like the vanguard ships)?

    I'd guess not since other faction specific shuttles like the scorpion and toduj are faction locked.

    True, but their ships were also faction locked. The Jem'hadar ships are not locked...

    This has got me wondering if the jems will have a LTS linked shuttle and ship.

    Although the only one of those shuttle that currently looks any good is the fed one, klinks is a wedge of cheese and romulans looks like a toy ship that shrank in the wash.

    This was partly answered on the stream. The JH will not have access to an LTS ship of their ally faction and will not have an LTS ship of their own AT LAUNCH. They want at some point in the future make one for them of their own so not giving a ship leaves that open for IF they find the time to do it later.

    Considering the amout of work going into the Expansion, as well as the ships they've already designed... makes sense to me. It takes a LOT of man-hours to take a ship from idea to concept art to prototype to finished product. I mean you gotta frickin' model it, figure out the stats and the hardpoints, texture the thing...

    Its a LOT of work. Especially when you gotta make the stats and make sure its balanced with everything else in game.

    Initially they are. To unlock a Jem'Hadar ship you need to progress to a new 6th level of ship mastery. Shuttles don't have ship mastery, so if there isn't a special accommodation made (ie. KDF and FED versions of the ship launching separately) then it may not be available for the other factions.

    i don't know if i would call those um "Ships" balanced. I'm not sure i would call them ships. They are more of a passing fancy. Like a massive waste of resources. Not sure how big it is but that's overkill for it's ultra secret and true mission. To hold down a stack of papers from blowing away. They are more like not tooooooo incredibly sucky but not good enough to use over most t5's or t6's. They don't even compare to the free ships we get. Most players that get it probably fly it for gimmick then quickly mothball it. Not even at fleet level is it worth it.

    Anyhow, If this is the best SCE can come up with then i will take my alien ships anyday. Ensign ready the Klein!

    The shuttle will probably be like the Romulans; they can use their own shuttle and their allies, but the ally can't use theirs.
