Rigellians and Denobulans

We have had Rigellians as a playable race in STO for a long time. Rightfully so, they are one of the earliest Federation member races. However, the Denobulans were as well, and we have yet to see them included as a playable race. I know this topic had been brought up before, but it bears repeating. The Denobulans deserve to be represented.

Also, I was thinking just now while looking over the Caitian escort in the Zstore, the Caitians now have 2 ships. Instead of creating additional ships for Federation member races that already have one, why not make a Rigellian and a Denobulan ship. I, for one, would spend my zen on that in a heartbeat.

The Bajoran ship just came out a short time ago (excellent work cryptic), I hope that this is an indicator that my suggestion here may be just over the horizon.

It really made no sense how they made the Bajoran ship an event ship since Bajoran's are a part of the Federation and usually faction based ships are restricted to the faction that the race is restricted to.

The Denobulans could do with a playable debut. To my knowledge, they've only appeared in 2 games and were NPC's both times.

The Bajoran ship was an OLD design that was in service all the way back to just before the Dominion War. While it is true Bajor is a Federation Member...

Can say the Interceptors were sold off or something to help rebuild DS9 or something.

Either way, the Interceptor canon wise is an OLD design and does make sense that they would be all over the place used by privateers loyal to either side.

Well the Peregrine fighters were last used by the Marquee and they are still restricted to the Federation side in the actual game.

The Maquis were rogue Federation colonists using Federation tech. Peregrines started life as courier ships.
The Peregrine class was a type of courier ship appropriated by the Maquis, during the early 2370s.

In some cases, the Maquis modified these courier vessels to specifications comparable to an interceptor, including improved engine capability and light armaments. These vessels were commonly used during their insurrection against the Cardassian Union. In 2371, Kira Nerys and Odo pursued a modified Peregrine-class courier into the Badlands after it attacked a Lissepian supply ship near Prophet's Landing. (DS9: "Heart of Stone")

They weren't using alien tech. They were using what they had available, which was Federation in origin.
The Maquis (mah-KEE) were a rebellious organization of Federation-born colonists and discontented Starfleet officers who organized against the Cardassian occupation of their homes in the Demilitarized Zone after their colonies were ceded to the Cardassian Union by Federation Cardassian Treaties in the late 2360s and early 2370s.
