Network issues are best troubleshooted thoroughly. You may be having trouble connecting to Cryptic but that could be the fault of anything between your PC and their servers. Running tracert and pathping tests will help you identify what's going on and provide Cryptic with useful information if, in fact, there's something they need to fix. Instructions here:

Things don't run smoothly, but at least following the thursday patch the crashes have vanished for me.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Its always a bit rough after BIG patches and content releases.
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

Yeah, also the game is acting like on demand patching is on and I've had that turned off for years.
I've noticed this as well. This is new behavior and my on demand patching remains off as well.
I was recently in a couple ISA's where for the first time ever I literally froze for several seconds, but per the post above, without proper troubleshooting it's hard to determine the source of the issue.
Has anybody else noticed abnormal lag while playing any particular queue that seems to be of a level not previously seen since the big patch week?

I was watching a video of the PvP Bootcamp players on You Tube...that was recorded live on Saturday 7th....THAT had lag in it. Not constantly...but you could see the ships rubberbanding and freezing because of it.
It was 10vs10...so a total of 20 players on that instance. Full bore battle, too. Not sure how that compares to ISA. OH and some of the power's animation were showing up as transparent squares (do not ask me what the heck was going on in that battle. I could not tell...between the speed of everything and the volume of junk flying around).
I do not know what Cryptic is doing with the animations and graphics, right now...change wise, I mean. Obviously, doing something.....because of all the complaints about lighting in ESD.

10vs10 would be quite busy, and for what it's worth in ISA the freezes coincided with the busiest areas on each side where a lot of powers were being used. Wouldn't have mentioned it if it wasn't an unusual extent. No artifacts or stuttering though. Will report back in appropriate sub-forum if it happens again or if I see anything strange re: frame rates or resource use. Was on a Kaby Lake i7/ 1050 laptop that should do fine at FHD. Saw a few posts on Reddit as well that seemed related.
As per title?, a lot of lag, takes ages to load levels, anybody else is having this problem??
The only lag I've noticed is in Dil refining, but the system does tend to kick when I'm doffing, but is fine when I'm doing everything else.
Just to be clear, I've seen no rubberbanding or power activation delay, which is usually indicative of server lag, and I'm based in the UK and I don't use any proxy and I'm on basic 10Mb Broadband with 85ms ping.

I am going to post this video here, too.... just in case someone wanted to see the lag and squares in the PvP video I was talking about. (That was PvP Boot Camp...open to anyone...check their post over in PvP Boot Camp part of the forums for Discord link. They are teaching PvP.)
If you watch the video for a bit you can, also, see the video stop and go as the lag hits...but dang everything is so fast in PvP and there is so much going on the screen. Is it some animation? Or what?
But then I am DOFFing in Sector space and walking around Ganalda and Fleet Starbase and seeing rubberbanding. So, I assume: something else.
I have this video set to start at 5m51s.... I see the squares clearly at around 6m till about 6m15s.

Yes, acknowledgements back from the server when hitting the refinement button on my Dilithium was the first place I noticed it. Then it continued with refreshing of the DOFF assignment lists and acknowledgement when they are started. Also, I think it is kinda slow in sending the fly in for when one crosses the border of a sector block.
Collecting assignments doesn't seem to be effected nor is Admiralty. Exchange seems to be responding quickly, too. So, they could have changed some sort of priorities on the server for "ack backs", maybe???
These are not the type of changes that ever make it to the Patch Notes... I mean, the graphics changes and other technical things having to do with priorities lists. I think they do not think it is going to make much of a difference and mostly because they think players will not notice it.

I noticed a Client update, I think Thursday, may have been Tuesday. I think it's this that might be causing the issue with some, especially the 'On-demand' issue. I also noticed a slight Account Server issue on the Xbox past week or so, so maybe there is something going on between Patch, Account and Game Server chatter. Given the amount of adverse weather recently, that could also be a reason, and there was a weird one which knocked out UK and EU Net for a minute on Thursday last week (I think it was), which we think was probably solar flare. A few of my fleet are UK and EU, and we all thought it was the Server at first, but as we were talking, it turned out that all our Internet connections had gone out just for a minute, was very weird. We all live hundreds of miles apart!

Was in an azure nebula over the weekend and my ping was as low as it ever gets for sto, around 120ms, and the whole team was experiencing rubberbanding and other lag related quirks.
We were lucky to get the 7 ships rescued for the endeavour after one bugged and the others refused to respawn.
PS4 on saturday was nigh unplayable, which admittedly wasn't too bad for me as I only logged on to do the event while I fixed my dinner.

Same here on PC, playing Azure... the ships never respawned!!, it was a lag fest!

Oh, I miss plenty of things. I tend to notice some things that other players don't, because I tend to do things that other players don't. I tend to focus my attention on those areas of the game that I don't think other players would test. In this case though, the on-demand patching was rather obvious. Anyone who logged on to Tribble would have seen it.

Seen some lag in the currently broken Dyson Battlezone with a fair share of rubberbanding.
Also having my graphics settings reset when I close game to desktop and reload. Its effecting 2.0 lighting and Character/Terrain distances.
Earlier I was in game went into the first contact queue, beamed back to Dyson BZ and the game automatically turned off lighting 2.0 and reset character distance detail from high to low.
Hello rubber banding my old friend, time to bounce around the battlezone again, where are all my bug reports going?, out of love with this game I am falling, As Cryptic fail to acknowledge a problem exists, Shakes an angry fist, And from Support all I'm hearing are the sounds of silence.
I was in the Voth BZ earlier today, didn't see any problems.
You must play a different game to the rest of us or play with you're eyes closed if you haven't noticed the odd behaviour of the NPC's in that zone.
Its especially noticeable on the Omega generation points where Voth will leap on the rails, Bosses will spawn in the wrong place. I've seen the General Voth either stuck on top of an Omega Point or stuck on a console at an artillery point in the outskirts. In the Park I've seen the wondering Dino stuck on top of a console at an artillery point. Boffs may follow you so far but then stop or just won't follow you full stop.
This has been since the new season dropped and across multiple characters.

I got a server not responding last night in sector space near Earth. Kicked me out of the game.
Yeah, has been this way for some days?, perhaps they have an attack of some sort??, yesterday the game was fine, i know is the game, as I did many tests to check out, anyway, I hope they fix it soon...

Once in game ping was its usual levels but again rubberbandy.
