@bobs1111 Your circular arguments and reasoning aren't useful.
Nothing circular about it. What is it your suggesting exactly... a commander instead of lt. cmd temporal? Its not required. The ship was > then every other science ship at T5U. The best sci ship in game for years has been the Temporal sci, none of the T6 where superior to the good old wells T5U. That is a simple fact. Its been the best sci ship in game for a long time. It got a specialty seat, it got a T6 trait... and the consoles got upgraded... and Cryptic fought the urge to put it in a new lockbox. Cryptic doesn't get much right but they got this one perfect.
Not required to you maybe, but remember the Wells is the canon Star Trek timeship, and Cryptic has made a big deal about temporal ships, sold a lot of very expensive ships and content around time travel.
"Has been" is the key word indeed. A good ship in comparison to initial T6 sci ships, sure, but not "factual" as you claim. Not being placed in a new lockbox makes no real difference since all lockboxes get merged within 2 seasons or so into the infinity lockbox.
Ships themselves have stats that set them apart. Nothing hidden, which if so, would be dishonest.
Scryer was the first T6 sci ship ever released, along with Dauntless, but that was announced a little later as an addition to the pack, and then its fleet variant came out later. In comparison to the T5-U Temporal Science vessel, it has:
basic build-in cloak vs None
+4,100 hull strength
-0.02 shield mod
DHC option
t/e/s: 2/4/5 vs 3/3/5
CMD intel seating
+5 overall subsystem power (+10 weapons +10 aux vs +15 aux)
-1 turn rate
-0.03 impulse mod
passive stealth vs None
intel gimmick vs None
starship trait emitter synergy vs None
boff Uni: Ens uni
tac: Lt/Intel
engi: LtC
sci: Cmd/Intel, LtC
13 seats total
vs. T5U TSV
boff Uni: LtC, lt
tac: none(uni)
engi: Ens
sci: Cmd, Lt
12 seats total
Also, the Scryer is C-Store account-unlock plus fleet holding unlocks and military shipyard provisions for the per-character fleet variant. The T5 timeships are lockbox and character bound. Now, all ships have access to the temporal ship consoles and set bonus.
oooooh! I'd forgot to include the Scryer in my power's saturation point! lol
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.
@mattjohnsonva I can agree the Comm and Lt Comm will be occupied by GW3 and SV3 as they are on my Wells. I am more interested in having MDB and Support configuration.
It's a Temporal Science ship and only has 3 option's for temporal boff's .... ???? That gimp's us bad , before we even buy that ship . Why didn't you have 2 seat's for temporal boff's . Option's is what we the player's using SCI ship want most . So please and anther temporal seat to the ship . Really can't buy it as is . You guy under cut this ship bad .

Exactly how does it reduce the effectiveness of this ship!? It's already a beast of a Sci ship at T5U. Giving it access to even one Temporal seat improves it's options, it doesn't 'gimp' it!
I thought it was "General Cryptic Design Philosophy" that Cmdr. Specialist seats are only available on the "flagships" of the class (ie, the ones that are sold in the $120 megabundles) and ships from "limited time only" promotions, DOff pack / R&D pack ones.
People quibbling over semantics again. Just because it has the word "temporal" in the name...
The game has several "temporal" ships that have no Temporal spec seats at all.
Yea but ALL of T6 "Temporal Ships" (Temporal in the name) are full/Commander temporal with the Suite.. The only real exception is the Paradox (which Temporal wasn't around when it was released.)
It's not a consistent facet though, kinda hard to see where crying foul comes in. One spec seat? That's unusual for a lock box ship (including the T6 revamps). No specialization mechanics? That's more common than not.

I think the T6 Verne needs MDB. The spec can stay as it is tbh I don't really care about that, but it should have the Temporal ships main mechanic since it's the flagship of temporal ships.

Wouldn't that be consider unbalanced and OP?
After looking at the stats, it's fine. I do own the T5U Wells and she's still superb

I read the info about the scryer with interest. Is it still enjoyable/competitive in pve?
I haven't flown it in forever, almost all my time is spent doing quick daily grinds and playing something else. There isn't really a bad ship for doing space magic, so long as it's a science ship (sci ship masteries, Cmd Sci, 5 sci consoles, 2nd deflector).
It's possible to do sci in a cruiser like the miracle worker sci (5 sci console slots) or even 4 sci consoles like Sci Oddy but in my experience it falls short and ends up either too fragile to be worthy of being a cruiser, or not powerful enough to justify everything being put to science, and hybrid sci tends to fail since then the ship can't do anything well. Sci/Torp/Energy hybrids have worked for me much better.
OSS intel ability is no longer what it used to be, since that was nerfed, so offers much less to aux power than it does for weapons power. Temporal abilities seem much more effective, especially if entropy mechanic is used properly, and seem to do good single target damage, while conventional sci boff abilities have to rely on AoE (so GW), AoE debuffs, and stacking of powers. That's why I prefer temporal seating on sci ships over anything else since it opens up all the options and makes them really flexible for their intended purpose.
OK, OP, you do realize that the ship is built and won't be changed, yes? I mean, to date, no ship's build has been changed after it has been released, so I'm not entirely sure I understand the point of this thread other than to just complain.

So am I. Hoping one day they do the same for Resolute's ensign engineering seat.
+1 for that

Though at least it has two Hybrid seats like most Lockbox/Promo ships.
