quick question about 23c

hi all im returning lifetimer from 4 trs ago. please bare with me if i sprout stupid questions over the next few days till i get my bearings...

i decided to make a 23c char. im in the ESD(23c) where i get new ships and talk to the adml etc.

Q: Where do i access mail/bank? there arent any accessable consoles.

    Nowhere on the station. The only way to get stuff is the account bank on a ship bridge.

    Also make sure you load up on bridge officer training manuals before finishing The Battle of Caleb IV mission. You can't get back to the 23rd century ESD after that and they are BOP so you can't make an alt to send them to you. (Yes, you can get them if you are a member of a fleet that has leveled up K-13)

    If you want to buy mark 1 TOS gear to upgrade like the phaser rifles, you can use your account bank to transfer credits and upgrade tokens. For dil, use the dil exchange: put up an offer to buy zen at 25 dil per zen with one character, then cancel that offer with your TOS captain and withdraw the dil.

    Also, kit modules are now upgradeable, so you can take a mark i photon mortar or grenade kit and upgrade that too.

    For armor and shields, the best option is to craft or buy Mark 2 VR items and then upgrade them.

    For upgrading, a Superior Tech Upgrade is the best choice if you don't have any Omega or Phoenix upgrades. Superior uses a lot less dil than Basic and Improved. You can buy them on the Exchange if you don't have any captains with good R&D skills. Applying one superior upgrade will let you level up gear and kits to at least mark 7 before needing another upgrade.
