Best Ship Packs?

I'm thinking of getting a ship pack or 2 next time there's a sale on. Any suggestions?

I've had a look through the Zen Store and these are the ones I noticed:
Delta Operations - 15,000 Zen
T6 Cross Faction Flagship Bundle - 12,000 Zen
T6 Allied Pilot Escort Bundle - 12,000 Zen
Command Battlecruiser Mega Bundle - 12,000 Zen
Dyson Science Destroyer Mega Bundle - 10,000 Zen
Pilot Escort Mega Bundle - 12,000 Zen
T6 Cross Faction Miracle Worker Bundle - 12,000 Zen
T6 Cross Faction Multi-Mission Explorers Bundle - 12,000 Zen

I'm quite content with my Temporal Dreadnought so probably more interested in the admiralty benefits than the actual ships themselves. At this stage, and based on the STO wiki, I'm leaning towards Delta Operations + Flagship Bundle but I'm open to any suggestions and or combo. So any suggestions and\or advice? :)

They're all pretty good ships (except the dyson bunch) but I really wouldn't buy anything just for the admiralty cards.

With that out of the way, the delta pack has a lot of extras on top of the ships which are pretty unique and helpful (like 2 SRO boffs for every romulan and the infamous Aux2Sif doff). It's the most diverse among the packs, though kdf and rom are kinda neglected ship wise.
The Multi-Mission Explorers are top of the line sci ships and the Pilot Escorts (both packs) are top of the line escorts so there's nothing to worry about stat wise.
As for the cruiser bundles, they're pretty much equals. Aside from some minor differences that one mostly comes down to your personal design preferences. Also there's the T6 scimitar among the flagships but if you're not into the ody or bort I wouldn't bother wth the big pack.

And finally, don't touch the dyson bunch. They're outdated, subpar and defenitely not worth it considering there's now the T6 Multi-Mission Explorer pack.

I'd go with the multi mission pack. Just solid ships all around and very easily equipped for any role.

I have the following bundles from your list:

Delta Operations - Great if you play all factions. They are "old" ships, but still good or very good. My one of my KDF tactical characters will be returning to the Mat'ha Raptor very soon after getting the Withering Barrage trait from the T6 Kor BoP. The Mat'ha is an excellent cannon ship. The Eclipse Battlecruiser still packs a punch as well as the Faeht Warbird. The Scryer is still a pretty science ship.

T6 Cross Faction Flagship Bundle - Overall, they are good ships. Using 2 of the 3 consoles gives a +3 turn rate which is really good make them easier to maneuver compared to other large ships with a base turn rate of 6. The consoles cannot be used on any other ships. Both the Tactical and Science versions have good traits while the engineering version has nothing to write home about.

T6 Allied Pilot Escort Bundle - Got it, but have not used them yet. I somewhat bought them for the experimental weapon, but the Barjoran Interceptor's Voice of the Prophet experimental weapon is better than that these escorts have. My characters are working on leveling other ships which is these ships have not been used yet.

T6 Cross Faction Miracle Worker Bundle - I only have one character using these ships so far. Similar base turn rate as the T6 Flagships of 6. But the two console set bonus of +3 turn rate the Flagships can get makes a big difference. The extra universal console it has is nice, but these ships are whales.

Of the 4 bundles from the list that I have I would definitely recommend the Delta Ops and the Flagship bundles.

I personally have all packs minus the T6 Allied Pilot Escort Bundle,
and if you already have the Temporal Special Agent Pack,
then the next one i would get is the Delta Pack.
The ships in it are solid (maybe not great, but still good ships
    - the Romulan Faeht for example got Enhaced Battle Cloak - can shoot torpedos, mines and such
without dropping the cloak, and it got Commander Tactical/Intel BOFF seat - it can use Override Subsystem Safeties III, the other ships are good too).
The other neat thing i used - the BOFFs pack from that pack is unlocked - meaning you can convert them to manuals, and then claim 3 new BOFFs and get another manuals from them, and repeat (i needed just to make sure i did not have those BOFFs already active, and sometimes changing maps fixed even this) for all their skills... unless it was changed from last time i make new toon...
The DOFFs are good too, and all are for space rooster.

Delta & AOY bundles are good for the value vs ships.

T6 Flagship bundle is good. Scimitars!

Rest of the T6 bundles are good, start with the ship types you like or need more of.

Or go with the ones which has ship traits you want.

The newer Pilot bundle is better than the original one.

Dyson is the worse... T5, why bother?

Personally I wouldn't buy all the Multi-mission explorers, but I like the Vestas a lot.

the best packs are the expansion packs. temporal, delta, romulan packs. Players should buy those first.

Rom are T5... no need to buy any of the rom xpacks at all, only 1 ship I think is must have... that is the Valdore for the lifetap.

you unlock reman when you hit Rank 5 New Rom rep.

I personally do own it... but that was when T5 was cap. I would not buy it now.

The cross faction pack with the Arbiter and faction sister ships. They are very good ships with a really good trait.

First I would say there is no such thing as a "best" ship or "best" energy type in game. There are certain energy types and ships that will lend more tools to certain builds, but that's where what is "best" ends.

Now if you're asking for personal opinion recommendation I would say to consider the Miracle Worker Bundle, Delta Operations Bundle, Flagship Bundle, or Command Ship Bundle. Save for 2 of the federation versions of the command ships I own all of them. If you want more variety of ships then definitely the Delta Operations pack will give you more variety of ship types. Even then it will give you a ton of ships to pick from as well as some other nice bonuses aside from just the ships.

Miracle worker ships can give a ton of survival and damage potential. They're definitely not the prettiest things to look at but I prefer function over looks. You can also combine your 3 consoles from the ships to cheese a bit of extra xp to getting spec points. Definitely not ships to be discounted very easily.

Flagship bundle gives access to some pretty nasty consoles and traits on their own. these ships are fairly good also.

Command ships consoles aren't the greatest I don't think, but their traits are fairly decent. the best one is All Hands on Deck imo as it gives boff cooldown reduction and captain power cooldown reduction. The command mechanic has some nice damage boosts and survival boosts.

Overall each pack has potential. If we knew more about how you like to play and what you want to do we could make a better recommendation I believe.

Delta pack I enjoyed very much, maybe the most, plus the account-wide benefits and variety of ships (inc specialty ships) for all factions. Each ship has a unique console.

T6 Cross Faction Multi-Mission Explorers Bundle - get it! Epic science ships, even if they are copy-paste across all factions. They are flexible enough to be made into anything, including super powerful space wizards. Unique ships due to their Aux-cannons, LtC Temporal is both fun and powerful, perhaps not on the level of Eternal and Edoulg, but not far from them either.

Cross Faction Flagship set is good even if they are not specialty ships, you get the Scimitar tactical dreadnoughts which I believe have access to canon Scimitar skin (I hate the T6 looks but do kitbash the hulls mostly), Odysseys (Sci Odyssey is a unique cruiser due to sensor analysis), and new Bortasq's which have properly boosted stats unlike their T5 counterparts. The consoles are very good, but they are identical and more effective than 'fun', while their T5 consoles are fun but mostly entirely gimmicky.

T6 Allied Pilot Escort - I only have the Andorian ships, their consoles are utterly worthless, but have powerful starship traits, and super flexible setups. I got them just for their looks, to fill in a pilot ship gap for my feds, and for their starship traits, especially the one that deals electrical damage with offensive engi boff since it sounds interesting for niche cruiser builds.

Pilot Escort Mega Bundle - I enjoyed the warbirds a lot except for their skin. Made a speed build engi warbird and I don't think any other ship can match what that can do, perhaps the D4x or a future T6 Risian corvette if they ever make it with pilot seats. Very fun set of ships.

Dyson Science Destroyer - avoid. Protonic polaron remains a gimmick, is expensive to put together, and transformation mode cool-down makes it clunky. Not sure if T6 versions will ever be made, hence why I have the Harpia only, and do like ship since it's unique but outright dated.

Cross Faction Miracle Worker Bundle - Skip. I just don't enjoy the miracle worker boff seats. Sure, I've build science cruisers with 5x sci consoles, but was not as fun as I expected since you need to invest so heavily into sci that you become fragile as opposed to a sciency tank. The ships themselves, excellent designs, lots of perks, but their ship specialty being so random is probably my least favorite ever.

Command Battlecruiser Mega Bundle - only have the Vastam and Presidio, and definitely have more fun with them than the Miracle workers.

Wait for a sale, 20%-30% off of $120 is a decent savings worth waiting for. Then you could buy 3 for roughly the same price! :D

The temporal 3 pack with cruiser, raider and multimission sci is very good value as all factions can use them for the cost of a single faction and theres no fleet upgrade nonsense.

    So much this!!

Never buy packs at full price, wait for a sale.

We're about due for one soon.

If you're just buying for admiralty (really bad idea) then just buy the pack that contains the most ships. Otherwise, the 'best' pack really depends on what you want from it. If you're looking for DPS, the Battle Cruiser 3 pack is a can't miss. If you want versatility, the Temporal ships that you can use on any faction is hard to beat.. really depends on what you want.

None of the packs you listed are 'bad' with the possible exception of that Dyson Pack.. I actually consider that one 'bad.'

The 31st cent ship pack is prolly the best pack in the game. All 3 ships are amazing, cross faction, awesome admiralty cards, and reasonable price. After that id say the new 9 pack pilot ships are wicked good + grav well trait is awesome, and admiralty cards are all very good. The T6 flagship bundle is really good solid ships, and the Cmd ships are the same solid AF.

The romulan pack is not worth the money because T5 is dead. Cryptic really needs to cut the price on all the old T1-5 ships. The AoY pack is pretty sweet if you like TOS but downside is its completely fed. The Dyson one is garbage as the dyson ships were terrible on release and still are, and they are T5. Delta ships are still pretty solid, but the non full intell ships like the guardian have been power creeped badly.

The MW ships i dont own but the ones I see people flying and talking about them seem to like them a lot.

The Multi-Mission Explorers Bundle would be my recommendation for Admiralty. On KDF and Rom characters, lack of Sci is the biggest issue I have. On Fed, I don't have that issue most of the time, in large part due to me having the T5 Vesta set providing me three more Sci heavy ships.

Second to that is Eng on Roms, but not nearly as big and it would depend a lot on what you have already (whereas the MMEs represent 3/4 of the C-Store T6 Sci ships for KDF and Rom). T6 Miracle Worker bundle would be the best patch for that, as all are Eng cards, whereas many of the other packs are heavy on Tac instead for Roms.

Since you asked about playstyle ...

I've 5 Fed, 1 RomFed, and 3 KDF captains. Depending on time constraints I'll login to each account, queue DS9 doff missions, queue admiralty missions, run CCA and Borg Red Alert, and visit the Fleet Dilithium Mine for the 2 dilithium missions.

I'm currently running one tac ship with cannons, but the rest are primarily FAW beam cruisers with 1 torpedo, and possibly a mine launcher. I'd prefer a simple\casual playstyle with SFC style on\off abilities but sadly that's not really an option. I'm mostly using temporal consoles or other such long cooldown powers. I've captains specialising in each of the various energy types, with the majority focused on antiproton. I'm less than enamoured with the cannon ship - it speeds past the target too quickly, or else has to park and play turret. The beam (array) vessels can orbit the target, though they don't do the same degree of damage.

    This help?

They offer the most bang for your buck if you're trying to equip characters across multiple factions. What I would recommend to the OP is to keep them in mind. You may end up with, say, the Miracle worker bundle but with some Zen left over you may want to get another ship to help out characters that aren't well served by a big lump of cruiser. Enter the 31st century raider or science vessel (the Eternal is a great ship).

The beam (array) vessels can orbit the target, though they don't do the same degree of damage.

The TAC miracle worker cruiser has a starship trait that extends BFAW. Considering they're built to broadside (though the warbird can use cannons) the MW ships would seem like potent options for you. They're perhaps the most cruiser-y cruisers out there and there is a MW Boff power that rewards mixed setups [see. your torpedo+beams].

That said, unlike the expansion bundles (another surely coming in June) this ONLY comes with one class of ship. So if there's variation in your playstyle you may want to consider the Delta Rising, Agents of Yesterday or coming Victory is Life bundle, or at least a supplemental C-store ship to help with your non-cruiser loving captains.

31st century ships would be my vote. Fleet level ships that are cross faction and one for each specification? That's a HUGE deal.

To get full performance from console sets from command ship bundle you need the console from Kobali Samsar (event ship - unless you got it at that time you can now only get it through Phenix pack) - if i remember correctly the 4 piece set bonus was +33% energy damage and doubles effect from the other 3 consoles - very usefull.

For the most bang for your buck I'd say Delta pack followed closely by the temporal pack
Jamal : Tactical space specialist. USS Bug Warrior and many others
    E'Mc2 : Science Reman torp T'Varo, deadly annoyance :P
Kunmal: Tactical fed Klingon, ground specialist, USS Kanewaga

The Mega Bundles represent the best value by a mile as you're getting fleet level ships right off the bat. Except the Dyson one, it's cheaper because it's only T5.

Just be aware that the ships in the Temporal and Delta expansion packs aren't fleet level, meaning you'll need to expend fleet ship modules to get the most out of them. Mega bundle ships by contrast are fleet-grade right out of the box.

Well there was a sale on: https://arcgames.com/en/forums/startrekonline/#/discussion/1238906/c-store-ships-25-30-off-on-all-platforms-today-only.

I saw the today only in the title so assumed that meant 24 hours. Sadly it was a 12 hour affair and I missed out. Apparently discrimination is alive and well when it comes to timezones. :(

(If I'd read the fine print and known it wasn't a full day sale I'd have sat down and worked out which of the packs on sale I wanted before playing through my toons. As it is I'm in a foul mood because when I went to the store to look I discovered the sale is over because I'm in the wrong timezone)

Flash sales by definition come and go in a flash. They're basically there to shock people currently in-game into making purchases. In no way are they intended to replace normal sales or reach out to the entire community (it's not discrimination to hold a sale limited by time or geography.) Those still occur at their customary frequency, such as before a major C-store release (which shouldn't be too long).
