AoY UR mk 13 question.

cbrjwrrcbrjwrr Member Posts: 2,782 Arc User
So, nearing two years later, my AoY is finally almost about to finish the 9 reputations and get the unlock. (the volume of stuff you have to do put me off for ages...)

What happens to an in progress VR/12 rep project when you get the UR/13 unlock?

I would assume it would be the same as if you used a sponsorship token after starting a normal rep project. In the latter case the reward is changed on the project while it is still running so you dont need to worry about when to spend it. I cannot imagine a gear project to be any different.

I too am closing fast on completing all reputations with an AoY captain. What exactly is "unlocked" after accomplishing all nine reps?

Finished a few months ago..Its annoying as hell even with tokens as you need to have finished the rep on another toon..Whatever REP gear you have will stay at its current mark and wont go to UR MKXIII.

I was under the impression it was a slotted project and not comleted weapons. Completed weapons always stay at MK XII VR it is only projects which have not yet completed which swap to MK XIII UR.

    stays VR/12 !!

You need to visit the Temporal officer on ESD and unlock the reward.

After that you have to do the same on your other chars to unlock also the AOY reputation reward.

Confirmed. Any Mk XII project not completed stays Mk XII VR even after claiming the unlock. Luckily all the projects I had on the character that were Mk XII had zero resources in them, so I just cancelled and started new Mk XIII UR project without me loosing anything. If you have resources in the project, you'll lose the resources if you cancel it, so you'll have to make the call if it's worth tossing the resources and starting over or just complete it at Mk XII VR.

I don't understand this thread. What is this exactly?

A while ago a special event was done which would allow people to make a special type of character called a Temporal Agent.

The agent could earn a perk for the account so any reputation project which ran, which was to build a piece of equipment, would be upgraded to mk XIII ultra rare instead of the default MK XII rare. After testing it was found that the project would not upgrade and only projects slotted after the perk is earned will grant the upgraded version of the equipment.

    On mobile, so won't quote:

@ihatepwe735 : some time ago, when the TOS expansion was launched, characters made soon enough were Temporal Agents, who had a long list of things to do which had various rewards, with many account wide.

One of them was that if you got T5 in all reputations at the time (two were added since, which you don't have to do fortunately) you unlocked account wide ultra rare mk 13 rep gear. (barring kit modules)

This thread is asking about what happens to projects that were slotted at mk 12 VR, and incidentally, but not relevantly, one of them before AoY launched...

To which the answer is slot replacement projects, at least for me, I've only lost a few marks, some EC and expertise.

    Thank you all.
  • hope with the next recruits we get some spell point boost. those spell classes becoming like reps ^^

I don't understand this thread. What is this exactly?

The thread refers to the Temporal Recruitment Event which took place when Agents of Yesterday was released. For PCs the Event started July 6, 2016 and ended on August 24, 2016. For consoles, this event started on February 14, 2017 and ended April 3, 2017. During the recruitment event any TOS faction character that was created and completed the tutorial to be transported from the 23rd century to the 25th century before the event ended became a Temporal Recruit.

Temporal Recruit were given a Temporal Transponder which is used to give character bound rewards and some account wide rewards after certain story arcs were complete. One of the rewards was to acquire ultra rare Mk XIII Reputation Gear by doing reputation projects. Items purchased from the Reputation Store were still very rare Mk XII though. To obtain this account wide reward your Temporal Recruit has to level up all 9 reputations to Tier 5 for it to unlock. The Lukari and Competitive Reputations did not exist back then so it is not necessary to level those Reps at all.

Reputation projects that have already been started before unlocking the ultra rare Mk XIII Reputation Gear reward would still only reward very rare Mk XII rep gear. They should simply be cancelled and the projects should be restarted in order to obtain the ultra rare Mk XIII gear.

TOS characters created after the event ended on August 24, 2016 for PC and April 4, 2017 for consoles are simply "regular" TOS characters.
