Past years suggest we're close to a new pack of ships. Any theories?

Any ideas/theories about what kind of new ships we might be getting soon? If it's a mega pack, from the playable ships list it looks like Andorian escorts or Dyson Science Destroyers are possibilities. Any other theories?

If they bring out a new pack of ships, I imagine they'd be Bajoran or Dominion.

Well, the Andorian Escorts are one that many people were wanting since T6 came out and they started bringing T5 ships up to T6. The thing though is, we don't really know what the ships will be for Romulans and Klingons yet will be.

I hope its the Andorian escorts being brought up to T6 with pilot manuvers and decent traits like using a cannon ability lowers the cooldown on wing overload. I would buy that. I still say we need a regular cannon over load tac skill since we have beam overload and fire at will. A smaller version of wing overload that only applys to single cannon, dual, and dual heavies. Does about 80% the dmg of a beam overload but has that 2km blast radius would make an awesome skill.

Cryptic really needs to add pilot manuvers to all escorts/raiders. Because atm there is Pilot escorts and everything else, those manuevers are that important and that good. If nothing else I want to see them on the Andorian ships.

They'll probably hold off for the moment and unleash a Megapack of ships or (pardon the pun) a 'Founder's Pack' of ships, costumes, etc. this summer to mark the new season/expansion.

I'd like to see a pack of the 'background' ships in Discovery, such as the Cardenas Class, aka the USS Buran

I feel like we're due for a fresh batch of escorts; we just got a mega-pack of super-heavy cruisers (MW ships), and before that the mega-pack of 'T6 Vestas' (including, of course, Gorn and Romulan versions). I'm not sure how I'd expect to see them themed, or what game mechanics would put them on par with Pilot ships, though.

There are a couple of other ships with pilot maneuvers, the Miradorn raider and Klingon DX raider. I don't think those pilot maneuvers are as awesome as they were when introduced, now with all the speed in the current game. Still fun but I think they should not be on every ship of that class, nice to have some room for differentiation.

They've been doing a lot of "Allied" ships lately. Caitian escort and Tellarite FDC come to mind. So its not impossible to see T6 Andorian Kumaris. The question though, is what will the Romulans and Klingons get? Romulans might get another Reman ship, while KDF might get Lethian or Nausicaan.

I would not mind if they made a set of consoles, either that are tied to specific console types (like engineering, tactical, science), which when slotted you gain the abilities of some of the special ship types (pilot, miracle worker, command,ect). I could see iif they made these console tied to specific console slots that science might be tied to the console/s that give access to the mechanic of the temporal or intelligence, while you might have miracle worker/command for engineering, and pilot for tactical. I do find it so frustrating that such interesting mechanics are pretty much left to root on very few ships, when even if it were made that a console you would slot in gave you even limited access to these mechanics might make more ships quite interesting.

In honesty I am not that worried about cannons getting access to a beam-overload type ability, as all of the cannon boff abilities affect all of their slotted cannon weapons when used, compared to beam-overload that affects only one beam-type weapon per activation. While I would rather see torpedo boff abilities like high-yield or torpedo-spread gain a buff that is in line with how beam-overload (functions a lot like the torpedo boff abilities) gives the other slotted beams a buff after you use it, though I could see maybe that after using torpedo high-yield or spread it gives the other torpedo launchers a quicker firing speed or travel speed might be nice over a damage buff.

Also we do have a console that could be retrofitted into a set with a new pack, as the console from the Bajoran escort we got is able to be slotted on any ship I believe. I could see maybe having it hav a two piece set bonus that might add a +20% buff to disruptor and plasma energy types an a +5 to phaser damage, and so giving the console a +20% damage buff to the three main energy types of the three factions. Could make it that each piece of the set you slot adds two more energy types, while the last might also give a modification effect changing how some of the console activation work or last, in this way the console an set would be quite appealing on alot of ships.

The extant Nausi stuff is tac focused so it wouldn't surprise me.

I'd prefer Leathean over Nausicaan as the Letheans don't have their own ship yet.

T6 Kumari line, and T6 Lethean line. Not sure what they will do for Romulans, whether it's Reman, or Suliban. Or just plain Romulan. Unless there was another small race that the Romulans were friends with.
