Bajoran defense shield will not equip.

Did the featured episode on my lvl 16 character, and chose the mk iv bajoran shield. It will equip in the appearance slot, but will not equip on the ship. I see nothing in the item description that would prevent this.
Nothing breaks the tension better than a tankard of warnog - except maybe a good brawl...

    Yeah, this is a glitch with shields with visuals and the visual slots. I've encountered this problem several times with shields such as the Reman, Jem'Hadar and Breen shields. For some reason, the game wants to default shields with visuals to the visual slot if you already have shields (or engines or deflector for that matter!) equipped. It's a real pain. Fortunately, all you have to do to fix the problem is manually remove your old shield and equip the Bajor Defense shield in its proper place and it should stay there.

    Already tried that, it absolutely will not equip!

    Are you talking about trying to equip the shield on an active ship? Does the shield go into in a ship that is not active....as in go to the shipyard?

    I ran into this problem with the Sol Defense engines. I found the answer in a thread from earlier this week. The poster was able to slot their item in space and so was I.
