So I think a different approach to balancing the Honored Dead trait should be considered.
Doing Gauntlet on advanced, I haven't seen 20 stacks (I get around 14-15) and my Fleetmate got up to 20 once when we were testing the trait (and died shortly after because he aggro'ed too many things). If you reduce the benefit and the pre-resist condition, people won't survive to see the full 20 stack benefit or worse, their combat will end before they get it.
What we were thinking is reduce the stacks to 10, set the resist bonus to 15, hull regen at 2%, and keep the post-resist condition. This gives you 150 resist (37.5%), 20% hull regen, and is easier to obtain the full effect even though it won't be as powerful as a full 20 stacks of 10 resist (which would be 50% if you can manage to get there).
The biggest problem right now is that there are few if any engagements where the combat last long enough to get the 20 stacks. Any phase changes will end combat and the stacks go away. So having less stacks that give a decent amount will benefit people more on both shorter engagements and longer ones.
Yes~ My fellow brethren yea keep the stats and dropping the stacks down to 10, at 20 stacks your going to be dead before the resists kick in ESP if there Argo on you and focus fire poof your gone~!
The same could be compared to my Command ship buff It gotz to stack from combat, but it has 3 different power levels of buffing according to enemy sizing or encounter and it can be the tittering of balance in your favor, that cracks the enemy and they start dropping in numbers like dominos as a fleet buff it's nice have when the timing is right to proc it in action~
Honored Dead trait ~ may not be for everyone, but for those builds that borderline pushing an assault forward and attracting the heat, it's a nice attribute to have for your build if your going to be drawing "The Heat" from the fleet you in. As a non-generating heat build allows my stuff to be applied to a larger area of enemies, if this guy dies before hand while if I'm in the area, I have to peel out of there, and basically having to re-start the area, by this time your not going to get any of the extra done in time no bonus. You have enough bad experiences to a pictular mission, it just won't get played plain and simple as a pick me up mission, rather than specified group for that mission.
