Allright here are some additional Fed ships (Sovereign has a mirror skin as its default, the Voyager is the lower tier free levelling ship). Pictures are all posted in the following order: without shield first, then with shield.
Overall I must say that it really depends on the ship whether it looks good or not. The Sovereign, Nebula and Intrepid look alright. But it's not all that great to be fair and in some cases the fleet variants of those ships, as well as other shields can make the ship look just as good or even better.
It looks good on some Romulan ships, but they do lose that typical Romulan look in my opinion.
Oh and edit:
Short note on the Fed selection: I just realised that some pictures like the last two Nebula pics are reversed so over on Imgur, there's first the screenshot with shield, and then without.
But they're all in the right order in the post above, so you can just compare the two and use the selection here on the Forum as a reference point.
Looking good I'm going to pick one up next week, but I think it's going to look good on the Cheyenne It has Stargazer nacelles, which I think the blue tips will really look good on
