Ego has nothing to do with it. I was asking if you were questioning his moderating now. Not everyone goes into the news forum, so having another thread here isn't uncommon. In fact, there have been many times where subjects in the news forum have been discussed here. So this isn't an unusual occurrence. If the moderator thought the thread was unneeded he would have closed it as he has before with other threads.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

I find it prudent to always question, initially myself then all else that follows.
Can we stop arguing and complaining about free stuff, please? Thanks. :)

There is a slight difference of intent between this upper & lower statement.

OK, I asked nicely for the arguing and personal insults/attacks to stop, so let's stop already.

I would think something like an Ultra Rare, or even in rare cases, an Epic Phoenix Prize Token would be ideal in giveaway situations like these. From the gift-giver's position you're giving away a nice gift with the ability for the recipient to choose how best they would appreciate it. In a worst case scenario where a player has all of those ships the player still receives something that they can benefit from. Similar to the (5) Phoenix Prize Packs earlier minus the "randomization" of it. Cryptic could code a way for one T5 ship out of the C-Store catalog to be given away of recipients choosing however since that probably doesn't exist & the Phoenix Tokens do the latter would probably be easier to implement. With the current method Cryptic knows not everyone will benefit from the purposed gifts. It's a tough call by Cryptic & imo they falter more than they impress when delving with customer service, but in the end these are "gifts" which we're not entitled to.

Perhaps you should censor &/or shutdown this thread if there's not enough pros & too many cons agreeing with your side, baddmoonrizin, besides there is another official thread dealing with all this jazz under the Galactic News Network anyways. Otherwise, like most threads in these forums it seems like it's just 2 sides discussing opposing views & being pretty civil at it too compared to all the other threads.

    Now you're questioning BMR's moderating?

I'd appreciate your insinuation about your leading with, "Now," otherwise agree with or not I stand by my point.

& what is wrong with that? As I stated there's already another similar, if not exact, focused thread covering the topic(s) so if "BMR" doesn't like the direction/tone of the discussions here I'm sure he/she can with whatever moderator authority. This is the 2nd or 3rd time "BMR" popped in to say whatever. I agree that any personal attacks accomplish probably nothing regarding a topic besides possibly elevating accusers' egos. Right, echatty?

Boulderdash, you have to Show Previous Quotes to get the full context or a bit is lost.

There's the right to have a opinion indeed, but the tone needs to be civil, but when things start getting more hostile, then the moderator has the right to call for civility. Discussing any action a moderator makes is not allowed. The rules are clear. BMR has not over-stepped his authority at all, and in my experience, is one of the best ever to have graced the forums, second only to the godly Trendy.

Fellow Captains, I believe we are encountering as as-of-yet unknown phenomena that can cause, irritability, irrationality and ultimately cause us to argue amongst ourselves. Please report to sickbay at your earliest convenience so that your ships doctor can scan you and see about facilitating a cure.

In the meantime, please draw upon your Starfleet training and endeavour to curb such impulses and urges...

Oh.....I know what causes it for me. And whilst my reaction in this case may appear strong, it's rarely hostile and I always put things into reasonable context especially in this case.

Nommo, discussion of moderation is against forum rules.

Good to know as you & another expressed & after I learned I see it actually embedded in his/her picture lol. Thanks for the link too. It was just one statement I was questioning. Now I learned & knowing is half the battle.

I like the specialization point giveaway today...

Event though I have ALL the specializations unlocked completely and 8 specialization points (max I believe) in reserve to the point that every time the experience bar at the HUD top ticks over and gives dilithium...claiming this freebie gave me over 5,000 dilithium. WOOT!

    Thank you Cryptic...

Haven't decided who to give these points to. You can definitely tell PWE see alts as a necessary evil.

I've seen in-game multiple times some player state, paraphrasing, that it is better to build out than build up for STO.

Ahhh, upgrade stuff without dilithium needs. I like these...though admittedly I only have my shuttle left to upgrade to EPIC mk XIV from Ultra Rare mk XIV. And who knows if my shuttle will ever be needed again after that one Delta Rising mission it last came out of mothballs for. lol
