No audio?

I'm just checking to see if this is happening to anyone else. When I log on to the game all the audio stops. It's just this game, there is nothing else wrong with my audio. I've checked the audio settings and they seem to be in order.

Not me. I only lost complete audio with a W10 update. Finally found a workaround and now have sound again.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

@rancidmojo#7824 I moved this thread to the bug reporting area since this deals with a potential bug. We don't allow bug reporting in the general discussion area as it won't get seen by the devs as easily. With that said thanks for taking the time to ask. In addition to forum moderation I also help them to track down bugs. I moved this to PC as that's what I assume we're talking about here. If not please correct me and I will move this thread to the appropriate console platform.

with that said, during a recent windows 10 update, for some reason it changed the default sound settings for alot of folks, myself included. I have a sound card I use from time to time, but also a HyperX usb headset and Blue Yeti microphone. The windows 10 update defaulted my sound settings to the built in sound on the motherboard itself, and took default status from my headset and Yeti. Go back under your control panel and then under sound. make sure you have the correct devices selected in there that you want to use. you will also need to do the same for in game.

Thanks. I'll be more careful about where I post in the future.

Could you tell me what your workaround is? I only get sound in game for five seconds and then none. I've tried the "ignorex64check" line command, reinstalling drivers, etc. It is only STO doing this. I get sound while in the editor, but not the actual game.

Whilst I get sound, quite often when in Sector Space doing doffing etc, the music keeps dropping out. All other sound is fine.
