Gameclient.exe moving to x86/x64 Directory

With this season, you guys got creative and put 2 gameclient.exe's in x86/x64 Directories.

This has created a number of issues including, but not limited to
- Breaking Demorecird
- Breaking/Resetting Active Keybinds
- Breaking/Resetting UI Placement (naturally you can't re-load ui after this)
- Breaking/Resetting Graphics settings
- Breaking anything having to do with Bind_Load_file
- Random crashes, both with gameclient.exe and the launcher not even finding it
- Random crashes when switching areas (assuming it can't find files again?)

...All above complaints are easily fixed by moving gameclient.exe (either one) to /live/

As always, it's not a good idea to do a directory structure change like this as it will only create a large variety of errors. Please revert to placement in /live/, possibly by appending "_64" to the exe's filename where needed.

I think they did that since they are working on a new 64-bit client, when it is ready that structure they have will probably change as well. Thanks.

Pointless speculation? Or do you have a source?

Numerous confirmations in reddit, and also, that most of us has been using the x64 client on Tribble.. they also confirmed something in the last stream... I did that question.

First of all, I am tired of people saying that. I usually do not engage in pointless speculation. The source is Tribble, I always check the Tribble Patch Notes to see what is going on if there are any as well just the Tribble section where frtoaster pointed out that there will be in the future two clients: one for 32-bit and the other for 64-bit. Finally, as gaevsman pointed out it is confirmed on Reddit and apparently in the last stream it also was confirmed. So it is coming and I am glad about it. Woohoo! :)

Do you - by any chance - have a link, please?

Again, I will say this I said what section this was described in, in the Tribble section. Look there. Why do I have to do everything? Sheesh. Here is the link. Aargh! Also, it is hard to link with Arc since I cannot cut and paste unless I am in a browser, it is annoying but I was pointing you in the right direction. Now please stop asking me.

So would this explain why sometimes when I go to replay a mission after some time, on the first loading screen when it starts doing some Patching, GameClient crashes? Had that just happen to me. And like the previous times it has happened, I should be able to boot it back up and it'll load just fine.

No, that's not related, what I find that crashes is that sometime the "file streaming" toggle in options is disabled (don't know why) and keep my game crashing... just re enable it and it should work

A new Arc launcher for STO pops up for me after exiting the game ever since the server restart that happened recently. It's a mini one, being smaller in size than the regular launcher. And it has a 4+ G patch. I'm thinking this is the predownload patch for 14.5.

    Possibly be the 64-bit client?
