Fast and Flurrious Race - Bug on running race with same char twice in a row

I and a number of others have experienced a problem with the 'Fast and Flurrious' competitive race in the Winter Wonderland. If you run the second race with the same character, you can hit the 'Join The Race' prompt, but there is no countdown before the gates drop at the start of the race. When you run the race you cannot take any flags, as if you had not joined.

You can avoid this by simply switching to a different character for the second race. On one occasion I ran the race with my KDF Lethean, then between races switched to a different character for a few moments, then back to the Lethean, and I did not get the bug.

This is the first year I have noticed this problem. Other people say they run the race twice with the same character all the time and never had a problem, so it may be account-related.

    This showed up last year. I stll haven't been able to find the race up, to begin with cause of the rotation schedule so I haven't been able to check it yet this year.

    I'm one of the ones who had no problem with the back to back pvp race last year. I haven't run it this year because my laptop won't let me play for very long before it freezes up on me. And I won't get a new desktop till around Feb-March.

    I hope those who are experiencing it will have it being fixed.
    Now a LTS and loving it.
    Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
    I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

    On several occasions I have run the first race with my Lethean (I am working on building up his tags), then prior to the second race switched to different characters, then back to the Lethean and the bug persists. I can tell when the bug hits because I am repeatedly prompted to 'Join The Race'. What I do now is prior to the races, I park another character at the starting gate, so if the bug hits I just switch to the character already at the gate.

    On a few occasions when I've done the character switching between the first and second race, the bug does not hit, and I can run the race with the same character twice in a row. I have no idea what triggers it.
