In the past month that would be a lot but over the lifespan of the game not so much as it was a sub to play game at launch and subs are a steady trickle of money going out.
Thinking about it, I've probably put in a similar amount but played at launch, have a LTS and bought things like the romulus pack. The amount spent recently has been next to nothing as the MW ships to me are hideous and lockboxes are becoming an increasingly less enticing thing with how they stack the deck with boosters and other low quality/value items.
Stipend gets saved up until a sale on ships or keys, so there's not much need to put more money into the game. If I do fancy a lockbox ship then I sell from my key stash and let some other mug waste their hard earned on the gamble boxes.
(post-f2p, bought a hardcopy of the game for install+month of sub. Then maybe another month of sub + some zen for character slots/etc. Everything since has been dil->zen or EC.)
More than $2000. But no regrets, even though I try not to spend money anymore and have only been using my 500 zen stipend since last year. With the exception of the 2-4 month break I take each year I play almost everyday. Probably been playing for four or five years now. So 365 Days a year - 90 (3 month break) = 275. 275 Days x 4 years = 1100 Days. Let’s say I’ve actually spent $2200, that comes to 2 dollars a day I pay for endless entertainment, socialization, and mastering a very complex game. STO has been worth every penny to me.
I bought the big Agents of Yesterday pack, because I really wanted those sweet, sweet TOS-style ship skins. Other than that, all the Zen I spent was acquired through careful use of Dilithium (watch for those Zen-store sales - your profits will skyrocket!).
I guess I could take up artisanal coffee drinking and quit playing STO at $2 a day, but I hate coffee and love Star Trek. To each their own. Entertainment has value and it does take resources for Cryptic to keep the game running. Even though I gripe about bugs, broken accolades, and wanting more play options, it’s only because I like what we have here and want to see it grow.
Is it really worth it spending that much money once you already played... basically the whole thing?
No, probably not.
But I haven't even got close to playing the entire thing....I am stuck back on "Of Bajor". Because between Events and real life, Doffing and Admiralty and reading the main forum is the only thing flexible enough to fit in my regular schedule, these days.
With the holidays, I can't even get that done, so it may be ice race daily for STO for a while.

Since this game went f2p, A LOT, but that's over what almost 5 years. Last major purchase was LTS and I think the last ship I bought was the tier 6 Engineering Vests.
Only other thing I might buy is a tier 6 nova.

Im at or above that as well. I play a lot of warships and planes but I keep coming back to my STO. Not sure why but I like the game to include assignments, doffing, missions red alerts. I find it relaxing.
Over 500 $ for me, but that is since 2011, and when yu think about the cost of consoles, games, addon packages etc, it was a good investment. As a kid, I grew up with the Star trek movies in the 80's. Two of my fave all-time ships was the B'rel BoP and the Reliant, so having the opportunity to have both of them at T6 once again meant that I was spending more in recent times, but no regrets. My first purchase was so I could get my hands on the B'rel Refit when T5 was the highest. My only annoyance is that i have suffered from a touch of impulse-buying, and have the Klink Tac command crusier, and the Temporal dread crusier, and none of my 7 alts use them! I also have an affinity for ground weapons, so I have spent a lot of zen just for use in the Lobi store, so now I have all the ground weapons over all my alts, and most of those weapons sit in my Banks gathering dust...
I was wondering since a guy in Earth Spacedock said he put 700 bucks on it.
I joined two weeks after it went live, bought two LTS. Over the last six years It's safe to say I could have bought a pretty nice used car in the mid to high four figures. My first car (1966 Buick) cost me $600.
Is that too much? I dunno. Ask people who ski (snow or water), fish and hunt, play golf, go to casinos and ask them how much they have paid over six years. Pretty safe to say most of them have paid mid to high *five* figures.
Zero, nadda, nothing ...of course if you account for the zen I've ground out over the last five, six years converted to cold cash though, I'm a f2p whale... (I reckon if I totalled up all my c store ships, account dealies and other purchases like doff packs, I'd easily be able to buy five or six of those delta megapacks)
$5300 plus change since day one.
Not a dime since They put the TOS T6-Connie into a once-in-awhile RNG.

Hard to say because I have been playing the game for so long.
There was a time, years ago.. where I spent rather freely on STO. This was intentional, I have always been a 'free to play' person, the sub fee never seemed worth it to me. The fact that I got so much value out of a game I didn't pay for encouraged me to spend on the c-store in order to support the game and the staff at the time.
Still, compared to some, I spent hardly anything.. I would guess that over the years I have spent somewhere in the $300-$400 range, maybe a little more.
TI have not however, spent any money in the last 2 years and have no plan to spend any more going forward.
Hard to say..... I'm just guessing around $500-600 With life time and all I can't remember how much extra I have put on just because I don't want to wait for my free 500C.....
Aoy pack, light cruiser pack, T5 galaxy pack, Rom starter, nearly all the costumes and all the buyable races, several T6 ships, keys now and again, life time.....pretty good, I think.
I would have to guess around $2000. Since I’ve fully built up 3 characters with all epic gear for what I want with them, one for each faction, I project that I’ll be spending way less unless another faction is introduced. I pretty much have all the ships that I want.
Right now I’m trying my best to help out my fleets.

I think I'm at something like 5k over the life of my playtime, across two platforms.
Only been like...200 last month, though. Gonna be more this coming month.
Over the $400 range but I can get more, I swear. I'm good for it. You know me. Just give me a few days and I'll make it up to you. Come on, Johnny, don't be like that.

I learned my lesson when I was much younger...my days of impulse buying for games on line, long gone.
