We may see T6 Risian at some point in the future. Consoles don't have them at all, and generally what Consoles get at T6 filters its way over to PC. Consoles got a T6 Cardassian Keldon, we had the T5 Galor. Now we have the T6 Keldon. Same with the T5 Xindi, Tal Shiar, and Dominion ships.
We might get another Vorgon for the summer event, or we might see a T6 Risian.
I would love to try out either Risian ship at T6!
Risian4 is so awesome that making him a T6 ship is a bit offensive though.
Anyway, Andorian ships would be great but also unlikely to happen since they are indeed Federation members. I too hope to see something different than Breen ships soon, but we'll probably get another Breen ship for this event.
I don't mind an Andorian ship NEXT year, but for this year, I want to complete the 4 piece set I've been meaning to complete for a long time now. I'll leave it at that.
Andorian won't happen because Andorians are Fed members, and the T5 Kumaris are Fed only. Making a T6 Andorian cross faction would be viewed as a slap in the face for people who want a T6 Kumari.
I'll take that love tap to the face with a grin, as I want a T6 Kumari, and to have it cross faction. Also, not sure if you've noticed, but STO threw a lot of canon stuff out the window a long, long time ago. In exchange, I'll offer for redside to give the Feds....The greenskin space peanut ships.
Actually, there was once an Event that had faction ships - the Anniversary with the Dyson Science Destroyers.
Still, a repeat of that one would force the Devs to design three ships instead of one.
i'm happy with whatever, as long as it fits the frozen/cold/winter theme. although, please make this the last Breen, I hate their ship designs (co-operative for similar reasons. symmetry isn't hard, you're just being unsymmetrical for the the lols)
Yes, Andorians were founders of the Federation, but we're getting to the stage in STO-story now where KDF and Romulans are members of the Federation too, in all but name. I wouldn't expect a x-faction Sausage&plate ship, but an "Alien" ship like Andorian? why not? and actually, while we're at it, you could actually hold the Winter Festival on Andoria, instead of some magic la-la land that Q invented. Such a waste of a planet.
LUKARI GUERILLA GARDENING MILITIA - Glowing fingers are Growing fingers!
Well I admit I was suggesting the Cooperative unsymmetrical nature in part cause some like the Breen look; still while some of their ships may follow design it's not necessary true for all.
It would be unique to fly a Cooperative ship, yet I'd be happy with any Alien Starship. I'm just hopeful they are planning something new for next year, that is if we don't see something entirely this year.
What I'd really love to see however is Fastest Game on Ice be converted to a 5 player race but on Ice Skates or a new Winter Boots for Cross Country Skiing so we could do Biathlon. So many idea's... it's just too bad I don't work for Cryptic to see some implemented.
If my suspicions are correct and the next ship bundle for STO's next Anniversary are tactical ships then there could be a chance that they will release T6 Andorian ships, but then they would have to think up something for the other factions.
I'd be open to expanding a few Alien Starships, but not modern Faction Starships, except the 29th-31st century ones to all. But one area that has not been explored as common ally with all Factions since Delta Expanion is the Cooperative? Sure they are Borg but not part of the collective anymore. It could might offer a viable alternative to the Breen especially for some good Miracle Worker Ships; given their regenerative abilities enhanced thru Starship Mastery?
After all perhaps Q shows how determined players are to fight the little Snow Borg along with some Iconians, the Cooperative decides to introduce the first Borg Starship's to Winter? That could surely be a highly popular replacement for Breen. While most Borg ships are Symmetrical that's more typical of the Collective not the Cooperative. So we wouldn't see a Huge Cube, Smaller Sphere's, or even smaller Disc's like in many Omega STF's. Remember the Cooperative are more AKIN to the Breen in how they design ships, the Collective is what introduced the non Symmetrical ship Hugh was on. We could see a few variation's to this:

The type 3 is already in the game as a Cooperative dreadnaught. It's what they use instead of the diamond. So yeah, the chances of it becoming playable are better than you might think.

They are probably more likely to make it a Veteran reward.
Well usually Veteran reward's are specific to each faction and they already provide a T5U and T6 ship plus several other numerous benefits not to mention the 500 zen monthly allowance .
Still I think the Cooperative Lockbox would be highly popular if they released 1 or 2 Cooperative Ships in it, in addition to possibly a single Event Cooperative Ship like they did with Krenim one Anniversary. I'd suspect a Cooperative Lockbox might have a lot of enhanced items that could be highly popular many will be encouraged to open. You just never know...

You do know we will be getting a new Lockbox within two weeks. Infinity coming out, Son'a added to Infinity a couple of weeks ago. All signs point to a new one.

Infinity will drop as a black friday special, alongside the current lockbox. The tzenkethy box hasn't even been running for 2 months yet so I seriously doubt there's a new one coming.
And I certainly haven't seen anything about son'a being added to it, either.
Totally agree

Someone asked about Aenar Ships
They don't exist and they will never exist.
Aenar are some kind of Albino Andorians
They are so rare, for most Andorians they are a myth
How could they even build a ship?
and why would they ever need to ?
the only thing you might get a standard Andorian shuttle build by a Aenar
Now that was back 22nd Century. No doubt after Sharaan married one, the Aenars have become a member of the Andorian society by the 25th Century. Thus, they might of build a ship or two, especially since they are blind it might be all automated. But in any case the Aenars by the 35th Century are no doubt no longer a myth.
I still very much LOVE to see a Cooperative Lockbox.
That is dependent on if Cryptic has plans for a Cooperative microfaction similar to the TOS Starfleet microfaction. If Cryptic does any more microfactions, then it will be one next year for the Victory is Life expansion that will either deal with a Cardassian and/or Dominion microfaction and maybe the Cooperative microfaction after that.
Well I don't think it has anything to do with having a Cooperative Microfaction, but it was one of 3 mini factions Cryptic said based on their research were the only ones that might have the support to Create. One was Cardassian, the Cooperative was another, and I think I forget the third... ...but think it was Jem'Hadar / Vorta. Still point aside they've introduced many Lockbox / Lobi Ships from Krenim, Iconian, to countless others to many to name...
No reason to think they wouldn't offer a Cooperative Lockbox / event ship.
Still the Caveat they announced awhile back which would greatly limit any new Micro faction is that Federation, Klingon, and Romulan have vastly so many different ships with unique specializations the DEVS admit they'd never come close to catching up. Perhaps not...
But still there is much speculation around what awaits in Summer 2018 as the Gamma Quadrant is rumored to open up. It does not necessary mean a new micro faction (see above) but some speculate a possible Cardassian Mini Faction like Romulans although that's possibly all speculation or hopeful thinking.
But we may possibly see another recruiting event for those who missed out on one of the earlier ones. I'd just have to decide if I'd want yet another toon...
I'm just telling you that based on the Research Cryptic did a year or two ago, even if they were to consider it only 3 micro (mini) factions aside from those already created, would have the player base interest to even justify it.
The problem with "mini-factions" (origin stories) is the existing factions. TOSFed was easy, just lump 'em with the regular Feds, but who would cardassians or the borg or whatever end up with?
Would they get yet another contrived "choose your ally" screen? Would that choice include all 4 restriction paradigms or just Fed vs KDF? What would be more ridiculous, if the Republic was never an option at all or if they let someone choose it and then be forced to choose again between being FedRom or KDFRom? FedRomCardies...mmm, donuts.
Or would the devs just write them into a faction, no choice? Who wants to bet it'd be Feds every time?
Without faction restrictions it would be easy, they could just join the Alliance be like everyone else. But that's not the game we have. 3 years of being allied, we still don't even have crossfaction teaming.
Cardassian's likely be given similar choice to the Romulan's... ...yet given the Klingon's history with Cardassia one *may* wonder why they'd align with them? But then again Cardassian's do have some things in common with Federation; but their more warrior trait's reflect better with Klingons.
Still I'm not suggesting we will see a Cardassian Faction; just saying Cryptic's Research suggest only 3 others were viable options for player interest. Given they also said any new mini Faction would also not likely see nearly as many Cstore Starships; there'd likely still be a few (enough) for different professions / specializations...
Still if they did we'd be lucky if they did unique missions till 20 then merge into the Klingons or Romulans story similar to the Romulans. I'm still not sure were even going to see another mini faction as I think the best we can hope for is a Gamma Quadrant Expansion and perhaps a Recruitment Drive / possibly a new Reputation related to Gamma Quadrant.

Any future microfaction will just cost an initial investment. Just create a unique social area, a few missions, a few costumes, a few C-Store ships, and a few animations and we have a new microfaction without any need for future development. The Borg Cooperative could start at level 40 and its last mission will finish off with the Alpha Quadrant Alliance coming to the Delta Quadrant.
There is a huge difference between a Borg Collective faction and a Borg Cooperative faction. A Borg Cooperative faction would work like any other faction we have while a Borg Collective faction would be limited to PvP. It would be similar to games like Evolve where there are 4 players on one team and one player on the monster team except that the Borg team has a bunch of npcs to control. Another possibility to simulating the Battle of Wolf 359 by buffing the Borg player so it is one OP Cube vs 5 player ships.
Agreed. Note emphasis on (enough) I added above. If they did create a new faction - They'd likely have a far lessor selection of ships but really it wouldn't need more than 3 ships one for ENG/SCI/TAC Ships in each specialization which would give 12 ships initially not to mention being able to fly any faction allied ships depending who you allied with even if you couldn't fly Klingon or Fed Ships.
So if your Klingon Allied you're Captain could claim any previously purchased Orion, Gorn, Nausican ship's even though you'd be unable to fly Klingon Faction Ships just like Romulan's can't. Same would be true for those allied with Federation being able to fly Andorian, Caitian, Vulcan, etc...
Many Command and Intel ships regardless if TAC/SCI/ENG still have a huge Admiralty preference for ENG. Not all Command or Intel ships do but many... To get around a smaller selection of ships they could also create ships far more specialized for each of their professions / specializations and as time went on more would be slowly added so it still leave plenty of ships to fly or add to Admiralty not to mention those from Lobi or Lockboxes. So it still be possible... ...not saying it will happen.
Even though I am pretty sure it wont happen, it would be fun to a space red alert come in this year. Like Q wants to have some fun and warps in a snow-borg fleet that is attempting to take over several arctic climate worlds, or turning some worlds into arctic climate worlds.
I was thinking that a space battle in the VZA-4001 System would have a sort of wintery feel to it with all of the ice and mist there. Either an Alert or a Mission and Q would alter the ships to make them have candy cane warp engines and gingerbread for hulls.
But a simple re-tooling of the Borg Red Alert with Borg Ice Cube for ships would work, too. And the Borg will still sound like Borg but they could use phrases from Christmas songs or recite lines for Holiday Specials or Movies. 41051.com/xmaslyrics/
Anyway, if the Devs don't, then someone who is good with the Foundry might want to give it a try.
the problem with making the Co-operative a faction is that we only "meet" them during the Delta arc, so they would have to have a whole story written up until that part of the story where we meet them in Delta. We're taking like, 30+ missions? Same problem with the Lukari, we only meet them after the Iconian war, so they would need a whole seperate storyline up till that point. Never going to happen.
