Why is "Assimilation Complete" here and I can't drop it - you killed it years ago

This mission has been dead for years, it is still stuck on my character, it is still part of the story arc.
There is no Battle Group Omega. You still won't let me drop it.
Please clean up this mission. At minimum please drop it from the story arc and set whatever flag allows me to drop it.
I think I've asked for this a mere three times since it was crippled. From a code point of view I can't see why adding a flag to drop it is that hard of a thing. Not like a Tovan Khev mechanic woven deep into the missions by a well meaning designer unable to think more than a year in the future. I hope....
