Colony Fleet Holding - water troubles, intentional block ?

Heya,

On the new fleet colony map, whenever you jump/walk into the water you will respawn back to the beam-in point.
The same happened when I disabled my powerboard on the lake in front of the colony map, while 'floating' towards the big black underwater patch (this happened after completing the 3 collection mini-missions fyi). So walking into the lake or trying to walk towards the waterfall, you instantly respawn.

Is this respawn an intentional map-block ? It is a bit annoying, especially for new/returning players that don't have a powerboard.

#Bug - when you move on your floater from the lake to the waterfall, under the structure you 'sink' and respawn, see picture for position (you don't drown or take damage btw, but moving fwd you respawn again).

The colony map itself is really nicely done - thanks ! Although I would have enjoyed a bit more climbing action; the invisible walls placement is annoying.

Edit, same underwater 'sink hole' is present on the 'Melting Pot' mission map.
