I know I have seen a thread mentioning this, but I can't find it. So I am sorry if this posted again.
The changes I would really like to see are the following:
1. A increase from Level 60 to maybe Level 75 or more.
2. Of course more content.
3. Our Bridge Officers increase more in rank, than just Commanders.
4. Be able to list more than 40 items on the exchange.
5. Reduce the cool down times on the STF's.
6. Fix the accolade system, so we can fulfill older ones that most players still have in limbo.
7. Now that all factions are not at war. Why not Klingons beaming down to Earth Space Dock and Fed players beaming down to the First City.
8. More slots in all the ground, space, and personal traits. The same for the space and reputation traits.
9. Increase the amount of dil we can refine.
Just a few ideas. What do my fellow players think.

2. Naturally, and silly question.
3. Not a fan
4. Depends on the code if this can done.
5. No! It's bad enough people aren't playing them as often as they used to as it is.
6. YES!
7. Programming limitation. Don't forget that Klingons are at war with the Feds, when you play through half a dozen Arcs.
8. No! Enough power creep already. Balance is still outta whack.
9. For the thousandth time, NO! The Dil-Ex would spiral out of control. Quit being greedy. Make new toons and get more that way.
Thanks for the input, but please be respectful when replying.
The only parts of this I saw which might be considered disrespectful were the ones addressing stuff which has been talked about hundreds of times, and shot down every single one of them.
Now my input...
To be honest this is not the subject I thought it would be when I first clicked the link. With the title "WHAT NEW CHANGES DO YOU WANT CHANGED IN THE UPCOMING SEASON" I was expecting it to be a discussion about the recent changes and what needs changed in those.
We come in peace, SHOOT TO KILL!

1. No
2. It's coming, slowly but surely
3. Only if they can use one of my neglected ships.
4. Unlikely
5. No
6. yes
7. TRIBBLE this peace loving plot - take us back to war!
8. Five isn't enough?
9. Not sure this would do the DIL-EX any good. Automatic refining though, assuming I have the Ore ... sure.
I can say what I want or how I want. If that person doesn't like it than move on.
Then don't click on the thread then.
> No I do not have to go away. No I do not have to not click on the thread. This is a public forum, anyone can comment in any way they want & only the mods get to make or enforce rules about it.
You're still here?
Now.. on to the topic..
1. A increase from Level 60 to maybe Level 75 or more. -I honeslty don't see the point. Level 50 to 60 is already enough of a grind, adding another one from 60-75 feels counter productive to me. The specialization system was introduced specifically to remove the need for level increases, I can't see them going back on that now.
2. Of course more content. - I believe everyone wants this, I also believe it's already part of the plan.
3. Our Bridge Officers increase more in rank, than just Commanders. - I actually think they're too high in rank already. A starship shouldn't have 8 Commanders, much less Captains. The Commander is usually the first officer, 2nd to the Captain. It's already silly that every officer on my roster is a commander, you want them to be Admirals?
4. Be able to list more than 40 items on the exchange. - Seems like a good idea, but would likely contribute to overall lag on the exchange. Also it leads to players using exchange listings as 'free storage.'
5. Reduce the cool down times on the STF's. - I'm actually all for this. 30 Minutes has always seemed like too long to me.
6. Fix the accolade system, so we can fulfill older ones that most players still have in limbo. - Also a good suggestion, but my suspicion is that it's not high on their list as it doesn't do anything directly generate profit.
7. Now that all factions are not at war. Why not Klingons beaming down to Earth Space Dock and Fed players beaming down to the First City. - Because the war is an big part of the story and for those that haven't finished it yet, the war is still on.
8. More slots in all the ground, space, and personal traits. The same for the space and reputation traits. - I don't think adding more power creep is really going to fix anything. I can already vaporize a Cube in under 3 seconds, do I really need more traits and abilities? Just not sure how much power you think we all need.
9. Increase the amount of dil we can refine. - This has been discussed at great length in various other threads, but long story short.. it would destroy the f2p model, devistate the economy, and over time lead to the collapse of the game. Obviously, I oppose this idea.
just leaving this here

not anymore it isn't; ever since S13, going from 50-60 takes about as much time as going from 40-50
#LegalizeAwoo
A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"
"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch."
"We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"
I personally hate the idea of raising the level limit, as it pushes newer p[layers out further to catch up with the rest of the player-base, and is why a lot of mmos create a fast track leveling system, or adjust the leveling speed to compensate for the longer time to cap. More alternative leveling methods that you use at cap is a much better concept, as getting to cap is the same for all players, but keeps the progression of your character going even after hitting cap without increasing the level cap an leveling time. So I would honestly prefer to see them come out with several specializations each large scale expansion.
Even though it will not happen I am guessing. I would not mind seeing them make mission packs that you could buy in the c-store, which would basically be side missions that have little or no effect on the overarching story, but could be bought an used for those times you want to play a mission outside of the main arc. Of course we have the foundry for that, but not everyone is always interested in player-created content.
I definitely would not mind seeing more added to the crafting system, both being able to make rep item via it that we could not otherwise (like omni-arrays for those reps that do not have them), adding maybe a crafting school that is used for making hanger-pets with different weapon/energy type load-outs, and also crafting different heavy weapons even.
More slots on exchange not that big to me. Though more refined abilit to search the exchange would be nice, like searching by quantity ( i hate having to search thru single item posts if I am looking for stacks.).
A bit of a rework of both the duty officer system (mostly the duty roster system, and a bit of a work on the carrier type ships an the other hanger/pet-using ships to make them more fun an interesting to play. I will say seeing some non-escort ships getting heavy weapon slots would be nice, as long as the ships in question do not have eight weapon slots (or have one of their weapon slots replaced by the heavy weapon slot.), and more non-omni directional heavy weapons would be nice (it just seems weird to give a omni-direction weapon to a nimble escort.)..
This would result in a little bit of power creep, but not too much I don't think.
1. Not that i wouldn't mind more levels but the only question i can thinking of: what would more levels add to the game?
2. Cryptic has been making content non-stop.
3. I would like to see our first officers become captains in their own right in command of their own ship. i remember when the admiralty system was being discussed before release and there were hopes regarding having a small squad of ships, all first officers promoted to captains and other times you can send them away on missions.
6. Accolades have been altered a few times, some IIRC can't be attained any more, old legacy holdovers. Having a more refined accolade system that promotes multiple minor permanent boosts to the PC would be more interesting, however the requirements for a streamlined version should be quadrupled. an example would be the delta quadrant has accolades for killing certain race ships or personnel, instead all of them could be combined in one and just have two accolades one about killing enemy ships in the delta quadrant and the other about personnel. Instead of 200 kills and then 1000 kills, the number should go up to 800 kills and 8000 kills along with an increase to the accolade points.
8. The system is already complex enough.
9. 8000 per day and a little more if you are in a fleet. Where it is? it should remain.
Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
Oh, and of course bugfixes and new content, but that should be obvious.
And yes, I'm aware I dream big, but as they say, one can at least dream...
U.S.S. Buteo Regalis - Brigid Multi-Mission Surveillance Explorer build
R.R.W. Ri Maajon - Khopesh Tactical Dreadnought Warbird build
My Youtube channel containing STO videos.
I like this list a lot.
Removing the new Queue UI would be first on my list for sure.
Unfortunately, your suggestions make too much sense to actually be used by Cryptic.
Make all STF'S/PvE relevant again.
1. 65 Normal 125 Advanced 190 Elite. Dil reward 480 Normal Advance increased to 960 and Elite 1920
2. Remove choice of marks from Red Alerts. Tholian is Nukara Borg is Omega
3. Increase XP doing STF's
4. Put patrol missions on a 15 min cd per single run stop players farming maps like Japori 4/5 times and picking up multiple mark boxes and 480 dil x 4/5.
5. Change Admiralty rewards so no dil is paid. You can no longer run Ferengi/KDF Tour of Duty and pick up 60k dil. You want dil play the game proper.
6. Remove the need to level up starship masteries. Instant unlock when ship is purchased.
7. Remove time gates from STF'S and cut scenes.
8. ROLL BACK THAT TERRIBLE PvE UI OR FIX THE BLOODY THING.
9. Give all STF'S the promised Elite content that was supposed to happen with Delta Rising.
10. Make items from special events an account unlock not single character.
11. Employ a quality control department.
Basically lets try to remove the login do Admiralty and get everything I need from system in terms oF Dil/EC/XP/GPL and a quick Red Alert to get the daily marks I need.
Changes i'd like to see from a very frustrated Public PvE/STF'S player whose is turning off to the game because its getting harder to actually play content because no one is queuing or wants to queue in pre-mades
Hello rubber banding my old friend, time to bounce around the battlezone again, where are all my bug reports going?, out of love with this game I am falling, As Cryptic fail to acknowledge a problem exists, Shakes an angry fist, And from Support all I'm hearing are the sounds of silence.
1. No. The game isn't even really balanced to 60 as it is.
2. Awfully vague there on the suggestion. How about throwing an example in there? Also, not all new content is good content.
3. And what would slapping a Captain rank do for them? Are you wanting to throw said Captain Boffy McBoffister into one of your mothballed hand-me-down ships?
4. Creates more lag on the exchange, as now you have additional people getting ideas to use it as an additional bank. Not a good thing.
5. No. There are plenty of queues that you can do if your ICA/CCA are on cooldowns.
6. Currently, the only one that I can agree with.
7. No. Hell no. Nope. Nein, nyet, nay. Also, some characters are always at war. Mine would not suffer the blue-side faction assimilating their territories, much less encroaching without invitation. Also, as pointed to before, red vs blue in a goodly portion of the episode arcs. Keep your Earth Space Mall. If you *have* to be landing on 1st City, it is simple. Burn a character slot, and run around as a member of that faction.
8. There is already plenty of power creep bloat as it is. My answer for this is likewise a "no." You can have five starship, five space rep, five ground rep, and five active rep traits as it is. Stop being greedy.
9. Join a fleet with a T2 dilithium mine holding that has the freebie doff mission unlock. Boom, 8k goes to 8.5k. Go LTS, or subscribe long enough, and you can add another 1k every couple days. Construct additional pylons(aka make more alts) to become resource generating batteries. If you can't be bothered to make alts for more dil...that's your choice. But as it is, opening up refining even more would hit the dilithium exchange even harder. There's a lobehead around here somewhere, most likely lurking, who would say that if you have an obscene unrefined amount on one toon, thus stuck with a logjam, that means that you are making poor choices with generating dilithium distribution. Here is a counter-suggestion. Allow additional refining, but only in the form of fleet vouchers or reputation vouchers, if you already reached your daily allowance normally. Similar to how you can exchange mining claims for vouchers, or get yourself additional vouchers from reaching certain milestones on an AoY or Delta Recruit.
If I were to ask for a few suggestions, they would most likely be cosmetic additions. Or means of unlocking certain parts, such as the reputation armors to be kitbashed with uniforms, or unlocking hairstyles for certain races(why no New Elegant hairstyles for female Orions, is beyond me), or unlocking color options so that there is greater equality between the 2 1/2 factions. Perhaps make it so that LTS players can unlock the borg bits for Alien character options? Perhaps add parts to make a canine type of alien race?
Oh, and allow Stealth Module to be unlimited duration when not in combat.
2. New content should be a given, what they need to do it to improve either the speed the content comes out at or the quality of said content.
3. Raising boffs to the rank of captain would only work if you could then have the space away team that was teased then benched for the admiralty system. They could make it a high end alternative to fleet support where once every 5 minutes you could call in a ship or two based on a points system where tiers (or types) are given values and you can choose to call in 2-3 smaller ships or a single big one. BUT before any of that is done they'd have to improve pet ai and command system which is probably pushing the engine as is given how poor boffs are at going through doorways (survivor mission for example)
4. I rarely use the exchange to sell anything and if I go over on one character I have alts to pick up the slack.
5. I don't see how that would help improve the wait for STF's as it would then be easier to redo the cherry picked time/reward ones.
6. Yes, but fixing a broken thing should be a given.
7. Only reason for this is for klinks to have quick access to bank etc after a pve queue dumps them outside sol system.
8. Power creep went out of control with delta grinding, let it settle first before trying to gain more power. Personally I'd like them to make all but the basic consoles unique equip, would break all those cookie cutters than rely on stacking fleet consoles but the a game so focussed on face melting is dull for all but the dps fiends.
9. Bad idea, Unless the extra refined dil was locked into fleet or rep vouchers similar to those that can be bought at the mine.
Things I'd like would be
Allow players to buy account unlocks for lockbox ships, store token like the ship upgrade one would work just fine.
Ship's that come with a universal specialisation seat. Would allow us to buy a ship and instead of being tied to intel (for example) we could use a boff of a different specialisation in that seat.
Reduce drastically the cooldown on the sensor probe thing intel ships get so that it actually get to work before the final explosion goes off.
3 week events reduced to a fortnight to reduce event burnout, maybe allow for another one and once a task is completed let us opt to earn previous rewards as an alternative to marks&dil
Remove comp pve marks from the choice box and either add the option to queue a 3v3 or simply reduce the number of people needed. At least one more ground map also wouldn't hurt. Although if they did add a "rocket league" with shuttles and asteroids style thing I'd be ok with that.
Maybe also reduce the marks from the choice box that are from factions not directly linked to the STF being done.
Fix the lukari BZ and add in a ground alternative. Always curious why the iconians never got a red alert when they were trying to invade.
Get a QA team that is actually able to do the job. It shouldn't be a running joke that new content is met with 2-3 maintenances to fix stuff after its out.
Find voice actors who can do accents or find folk from those areas to do the VO work. The maru event was some horrendous mix of pacific island and northern england. And the new scotty clips his words in such a way that it sounds like he's never actually talked to a scot.
Run a competition for foundry creators where the winner gets their creation added as a FE with voice dialogue etc. A lot of these folks are very talented and deserve to have something special done to highlight that. Only risk is that they shame the full time folk into doing better in future.
Move cosmetics to from the lobi and dil stores to an EC vendor. There really needs to be a decent ec sink in the game and while cosmetics might not be everyones cup of tea they'd be a start. uniforms first and maybe ship "parts" like warp trails or beam colours later on.
Additionally, to quote T. S. Eliot, "When forced to work within a strict framework the imagination is taxed to its utmost — and will produce its richest ideas. Given total freedom the work is likely to sprawl."
While it can be fun for a while to slice through everything and play gamegod, I'd rather not see any more power or level creep. The game needs to continue to force players to make choices and tradeoffs. Additional boff, doff, or trait slots along with additional levels merely serves to reduce the need for smart choices. Also, situations like consoles tied to certain ships, even when the ship has limited sci seating, should serve to optimize that limited seating, rather than unlocking the console on other ships which would make that console overpowered.
Events. I get that events are 3 weeks (21 days) and require 14 days of grinding - which translates into 14 days of logons and other game performance metrics. Also, by making events (like the current Sompek) 3 week events and character-locked rewards, you multiply the number of total account hours logged enormously. However, it seems like there is some middle ground where you make some shorter events character-locked (and other shorter ones account) and longer events account-locked - and simply throw in some shorter events to make up for it. The rewards can be simple like Admiralty cards or exp bonus - stuff which specific characters might need, so we can make an informed decision about which characters we want to grind on an event.
It's also a cheat to have an event without telling us in advance the specific details of the reward. While I would do Sompek no matter what since I like the queue, I think it's unfair and can only lead to a lot of player unhappiness when the inevitable "I wasted my time" starts.
Also a set of console slots that you could only slot consoles that are part of a ship-specific set would be nice, maybe have it that if you slot a console from a set into these slots the passive bonuses on the console are not applied to balance it a bit, even with the console that is tied to a ship being built-in on the ship with the console being for use on other ships.
Honestly not sure that moving back to where the type of mark you can get from content is based tied to the rep the content is apart of would do a whole lot, outside of pushing people into the other high payout to time invested content that is tied to the rep they need. Granted it would help more content be used, and if the que list were trimmed down with only a portion of it being available on a weekly or bi-weekly template it would help, and having even missions that could add additional rewards for doing specific content (would improve the reward payout for some of the ques making them more appealing). I just think we need some rewards that are tied to the specific content to give perks to doing those specific pieces of content, over doing the content that has the highest payout to time invested since you get the same reward regardless of the content basically.
Well the thread title may have been misleading, but I did think it sounded like an interesting topic. Not meaning to be upsetting here, but I do think you need to let your skin thicken a little bit, you are showing offense at things that are non-offensive.
We come in peace, SHOOT TO KILL!
