I have 2 requests.

Alright so let's get started

Number one- Why don't we introduce a new class of space weapons called emitter arrays. That's right like the vaadwaur polaron emitter array and kelvin timeline phaser emitter array. Yeah, it is a combination of beams and cannons.

Number two- Cover. Yeah cover behind walls and stuff. I know we can crouch near fences and avoid fire and hide behind walls but I'm talking about having a cover animation. It will make combat more realistic.

    I wouldn't mind emitters, if there's even a niche to be filled by a new weapon type. I wouldn't even mind if they just gave us more weapons with unique visuals, like the pulse phasers. More flashy things is always nice.

    I don't know if the engine can do a Cover mechanic. The closest we got is the old school hide behind a wall, or as an engie, deploy Cover Shield.

    cover shield is a mobile wall placement... if you place it down you can hide behind it. but if your targeted before and fired on... you will get hit no matter what. the graphic of the beams coming to hit you is just that... a graphic. it would be nice if all shots are fired into a straight line and you can out run or dodge to avoid enemy fire... game engine can't hand it so your stuck with what we have.

    Exactly. Its all dice rolls really. I mean the best example of seeing that in action is with things like Cannons in space against an agile target at almost max range. You'll actually see the cannon shots CURVE to hit if they hit. Otherwise they just go straight.

    They should enable miss in ground too, so far i dont remeber seen "missed" in something fired at me.. and cover would be great!

    I saw this yesterday when I was doing my endeavor in a DSE. I had skittle polarons, shot at a target, it kept moving, shots curved to hit them.
    Now a LTS and loving it.
    Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
    I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

    Games not a FPS despite a bad attempt at a shooter mode , the game engine was desighned to deliver RPG ground combat ,the games ground combat when it was first released was way more thought provoking than it is now . i miss it . but people complained it was to hard .and we got what we have today. having said all that im abit dubious about firing through cover shield and bending round corners too lol

    Doesn't being missed on ground result in "dodge" floaters?
