Not sure if it's possible on PS4 but I would like to have a free form camera so that I can zoom and rotate it the way I want in order to take screen captures of my ship and crew.

I'd like to see a 100 percent increase in dilithium costs for fleet projects and really bring the dillex back down under 200 on a permanent basis.
I doubt we'll ever see that level on a permanent basis. I really think there's other factors involved beyond fleet holding costs. But I'm sure most fleet leaders are in agreement with you. I'm just not one of them.
Am curious though. When people buy a lot of dilithium with cash (zen), what effect does that have on the dil exchange rate?
A starship upgrade system (one that costs Zen) that lets you upgrade ships from T-1 to T-5U in a manner similar to this (or whatever the game mechanics will support).
T-1 to T-2 (1 Token at 500-Zen)
T-2 to T-3 (1 Token at 500-Zen, or 2 Tokens from T-1/1000-Zen)
T-3 to T-4 (1 Token at 500-Zen, or 2 Tokens from T-2,/1000-Zen or 3 Tokens from T-1/1500-Zen)
T-4 to T-5 (1 Token at 500-Zen, or 2 Tokens from T-3/1000-Zen, or 3 Tokens from T-2/1500-Zen, or 4-Tokens from T-1/2000-Zen)
T-5 to T-5U (1 Upgrade token at 700-Zen)
Each upgrade should add the appropriate number of consoles, hull points, and weapon hard points for ships of a particular type (cruiser, destroyer, escort, warbird, raptor, etc.).
This way keeping ships in drydock (and thus buying more drydock slots and ship slots) becomes more desirable instead of just dismissing dilithium-cost ships you get for playing the game because at level 50+ they start becoming useless compared to C_store ships. In this way, C-store ships are still more desirable, but the dilithium and lower-level C-Store ships get a new shine to them that players may be willing to spend some Zen on to keep these older ships in service in their fleets.
Cryptic could (if it is cost effective) even add new skins or "bling" to the upgraded ships to make them more appealing. Like adding classes of ships that currently are not in this game (FASA ships would get my vote since I would think that CBS/Paramount owns the rights to all of that material as FASA is now defunct, and all their RPG ships were made under license from CBS/Paramount).
The system could even be attached to a "Miracle Worker" reputation tier system where you have to complete each level for your character to qualify for each token (using marks, ec, reputation points and dilithium in the same manner as other reputation tiers).
That way it doesn't detract from C-Store ships. In fact, if you could upgrade ships like the Klingon Somraw class Raptor, or the TOS Connie (T-1/500 Zen), or the Romulan T'liss Warbird, I can see players spending Zen to do so especially as their characters advance in level.
Admiralty stats should remain the same for upgraded ships so as not to detract from ships in the C-store or that are higher level (which would keep ships that are not upgrades more desirable).
Doesn't the C-Store already work like this? You want to move from T1 to T2, you get a better C-Store ship with better stats, consoles, etc. Same with T2 to T3, T3 to T4, T4 to T5, T5 to T6... What you're asking for is kinda redundant.

- Random Distress calls based on Sector Space location.
- BOFF's that can be upgraded and learn traits from BOFF's of other races. (Tired of using all Nausicaans to get the best DPS boost.)
- Ferengi Trading Authority trading post. Instead of using replicator to sell garbage items, gamble with the Ferengi trading authority. You may get a little more...or you may get less. Those darn Ferengi!)
- Food items including: Scotch (In tribute to Commander Montgomery Scott), Klingon War-nog and Bregit Lung.
- Crew that move about your bridge when you're on your ship's bridge. Not as busy as ship corridors.
- Different kinds of sector space anomalies: Black Holes, different types of abandoned ships, temporal anomalies, etc.
Nice list. I second this. Sector space random hazards like ion storms and distress calls would be awesome. Also a Exploration system.
I would like to see this new 5 tier fleet holding require very substantial dilithium contributions so that we can get back to the 100-200 dil/zen range.
Hey Druk, you're one of the best when it comes to game economics. I'm definitely not. If the newly announced fleet holdings had the same dilithium contribution requirements as previous holdings (or even if those requirements were increased) , and those requirements were met via straight cash (zen) to dilithium purchases, what effect would that have on the dilithium exchange rate? It's an honest question that I don't know the answer to, but is one possible route that some fleets will take if members are unable to move holdings forward using in-game earnings.
Not that things are too bad now... a T5 Starbase final upgrade is only 2,754,000 dil as a beta in a decent armada (or about 9950 zen at current rates). That's less than 2 cross faction ship packs. Perhaps Cryptic is due for a COLA increase, I was just thinking about the average fleet member in suggesting a reduction. Maybe your suggestion is better for the average player, providing it would have the effect you stated? I'm most interested in the question above in italics though.
