Although I have never felt the urge to take any of my AoY toons back and re-run any of the initial missions, the only time I have ever felt that any NPCs were overpowered was in Galenden Core. At least I think that's the one. Where you go in disguised as Tal Shiar and at the end have to face the Doomsday device, Tal Shiar and a bunch of Na'kuul.
Even then it's not so much that the NPCs are overpowered, it is just that the mission (for a new toon) now occurs when you are still running around in a T2 ship, with very few traits and very few BoFF skills to use. Between the ships themselves, and their distortions it seems like there are death cones coming at you from everywhere, trying to dodge one just puts you right into another. Sure, the enemy might be scaled down as far as damage per shot, but they still pack twice as many weapons per ship and still have all of the powers/abilities of the T6 ships that they are.
Of course, I don't have to go back an re-run missions to try them at level 60. Most of my toons I level till 12, then just do doffing with them and play one of my others until they hit level 60, so I play most of the mission content as a level 60 the first time through and usually on advance, I'm not good enough to try it on elite yet, or maybe I am since advanced doesn't give me too much trouble, at least not being a level 60..

Yes, The Core of the Matter is a challenge that comes out of nowhere. I usually level on expert, and that mission is significantly tougher than anything that comes immediately before or after. It wasn't tough back when it was a featured episode & I was level 60, but they put it a lot lower in the story than I think it was designed for.
The OP sucks at the game is requesting that it be dumbed down to his level...despite the fact that this game is so fraking easy that people resort to using T1 ships in ELITE difficulty for a challenge and even **** poor gamers like me can do any normal missions on a T3 ship and some of the easier ones in a T1, Like I play easy mode bad gamer here. And he wants it even easier that stupid easy mode that this game is.
I don't think he's wanting to "dumb down the game" because "he sucks", I believe he is trying to see if there is a legit level scaling bug by checking with other players. I mentioned in an earlier post in this very thread. You could be lv 60, but replay some of the TOS specific missions, and it scales you down to first run level while space NPCs are still at your actual level. Kinda like how the Red Alerts are scaling us back to 50 while the NPCs are still 60.
Throwing insults at the OP for perceived lack of skill is unnecessary in this case. And unwarranted.
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

I don't know if it was fixed or not, as I haven't replayed any of the TOS specific missions in a while. But jump into a Borg or Tholian Red Alert and it still knocks you down to 50 while the NPCs are still max level. Almost suicide to try and solo a group now, even if its just a sphere/probe group. And I'm a decent Cruiser Captain.

Well I jumped into both of those Alerts..Soloing can be done without dying..I jumped in with my Tac captain in a Wells (Tho My Eng Rom with the T6 Multimission Warbird is much Tankier)..No problems against the BOrg..Gotta watch out when your in between 2 tholian Dreads tho :P
Technically..with A Full primary and secondary..Arent we still higher than 60 even if the map reduces us 10 levels?
No idea what your on about OP. There is no npc in the game thats even been a challenge.

I'm taking this challenge, and aim to see if I can get Kek to T6 pickup rank in the T2 Constitution. Transitioning from a modernized (but primarily WoK era aesthetic) Constitution, to a JJprise, which will be headcanoned as the Kelvin Timeline version of the same ship brought through a dimensional rift, for the remainder of the game content
