So go play the damn thing then and stop talking about it here. Time you spend trying to explain to me is time you could be putting to much more productive use over there. I am happy you found something you like and I genuinely wish you all the happiness you'll ever need over there.
But stop trying to explain it to me here. Because after a while it starts to look more like you're justifying to yourself rather than explain to me.
Something I tell my students every week: If the only way you can make your product look good is to talk trash about the other guy's stuff then how good is your stuff really? Which was the point I was trying to make in my post. Which your self righteously indignant butt hurtedness caused you to miss.
I'm 55 YO and believe it or not I can see and think for myself. I am most certainly not blind to the many many faults STO has and how slowly those faults seem to get corrected. When I came here I was only looking for a game. A way to waste the odd hour or two of spare time I have during the week. I wasn't looking for a life changing experience which will make my whites whiter.
A six year old boy and his starship. Living the dream.
What amazes me about SC? alot of fools are paying into this "game" and yet 3-4 years later it hasnt even went to it beta stage?
and when i say pay? those prices are pretty expensive but the ools buying say usually this "but we get these nice new shiny ships and evweyting".
so do tell SC fanbois when IS that game going to beta its almost 5 years now.
I stopped being interested in SC when I learned there was little support for playing capital ships instead of being a fighter jock. I fly an Andromeda in STO and my main ship in X3: Terran Conflict was the Split Panther, a pocket carrier.

However, a Mk IV hand phaser on about setting 5 will take care of that stubborn ring-around-the-collar...

Thats what ive heard is its more about being a fighter jockey, but what gets me is how so many are buying in and yet almost 5 years later, it hasnt even gone to beta i spose common sense truely is dead.
No thanks SC i will choose STO over you anyday of the week an even leap year lol
Star Trek Online is what you get when you have a publisher that insists on fixed release date and updates - An unfinished game.

Well, MMOS CAN'T be finished, ever. that would mean the game is over and dead.
In his 1978 novel The Final Reflection, John M. Ford constructed an internally consistent language for Klingons. One of his inventions was that the Klingonaase word komerex, usually translated into Fed Standard as "empire", in fact means "the structure that grows". It has an opposite, khesterex - "the structure that dies".
An MMO can be komerex or khesterex. If it's "finished", and no longer growing, it's dying. CO isn't quite khesterex yet, but its growth has slowed to a crawl. STO is still quite the komerex, with new story bits being added nearly constantly. Star Citizen isn't either one yet, because at this point it does not exist as a commercial entity. It may grow, or it may die - only time will tell - but it will fill one of these roles eventually, because everything does.
Oikios, it's Copy Cats. I would want the basics: food, clothing, computers tablets with games, spaceships, gaming in school, vdieo games, Hot Topic toys, Cyberdog clothing and merchandise, and Happy Burgers food, with a spaceship with oxygen and flying cars refills, soda like cocacola and pepsi,,,,funko pop toys, lipgloss, pom the hades drink, the piggy card, root beer, moo moo cow dolls, gucci, H&M, Forever 21 clothing store, high heeled gaga shoes. My parents are James Pentaudi and Lady Gaga--you have seen her with Men in Black II and she was presenting something to the galactic United Nations---a noble peace Prize to Peter Singer. Boom Baby.
I think my universal translator is on the fritz. Anyone else get that?

I want a replicater which, when I put any non-unique item in it for disposal thereafter is programmed to produce that item.
