Deflector charging, firing divine bumhole matrix in 3,2,1... parp
It has a mahoosive hitbox, so that seems to be stopping the camera zooming right in close.
Ahh...hadn't considered the hitbox...; I'll try a little trickery by putting the ship next to an object, then tweaking the camera position so said object is off-camera while forcing the camera to stay on the ship...usually works....
It is good LOOKING, no doubt, but the BOFF seating is a bag of dead snails. Engineering-heavy, and only one Lieutenant Uni-Temporal. What the %$^&#$ good are Engineering BOFF powers? A Commander-level BOFF power in Sci or Tac is a rare and precious thing, capable of being leveraged into massive damage. A Commander-level BOFF power in Engineering is like, "Oh, great, WTF do I do with this?" And what are you going to use it for, Vent Warp Plasma?
The ship is a piece of trash, IMO. You can do more DPS with an old Vo'Quv. And the reason it's a piece of trash is because Engineering is broken.
"Oh, great, WTF do I do with this?" And what are you going to use it for, Vent Warp Plasma?
if memory serves [can't really check atm in-game due to DT you can also put some very good tanking skills like [here is the part "if I recall correctly] "auxiliary power to inertia dampeners III" [someone better correct me if I listed wrog skill] which is a reasonable heal with resistance buffs ontop of it.
bottom line being that the carrier is a good material for a tank-ship instead of pure "deepz" boat and has boff seatings setup with that in mind
EDIT: correction I have meant Auxiliary to Structural Integrity field 3 - I always mess these two up xD

45k in ISA as a torpedo boat (with bo1 for coordinated strikes) without trying rather disputes your opinion (not that I dps hunt, I just got a drive by pug parser) - You just don't know how to use it and more imprtantantly, seem incapable of looking beyond the established methods of play

It's a decent tank. Does the deeps and draws threat. Seems like it's an issue with your builds, not the ship.
I slapped some really half-assed gear on it and with some truly diabolical piloting got 33k in ISA with little effort and zero risk of dying. And that was with the bog standard pets from Rom & Nukara reputations.
Someone who knew what they were doing would be able to pull twice that i'm sure.
Engineering heavy means it survives longer, that means you can continue putting out damage longer and not worrying about getting killed. It's potentially a seriously tanky ship with 2 hangers to add firepower.
I do think that @chastity1337 has a bit of a point about Cmdr Engineering Boff powers. The choices never seem as broadly useful as the Tac or Sci options. But I definitely agree with the other folks, the Ryn'Kodan is a fine ship. I've been having pretty good success with mine so far. How can you not like free frigates? You usually have to pay a lot extra for decent frigates.
Of course, I've gotten a little bit silly with my build, running 2xHeisenberg Amplifier and 1xScramble Sensors to keep the heat off my pets. So far it works and is amusing.
The Frigates are wimpy too. You can only have 4 at once, as opposed to 12 of something like Scorpions, but there's no way the frigates are anything like 3 times as beefy. With the old Vo'Quv you could have 4 BoP, for the love of Kahless!

Umm, bro? My brother's cat can do better than 45K at ISA, and we're talking about a feline so thick he flunked his A+ cert the first three times...

Oh my god, awesome reference! Makes me want the ship SO HARD! Imagine it with the Nukara shields... >,< I'm just commenting, console plebeian here so while I have the Summer ship, it's only the escort. Still, it's a cute little ship that escort, very anime inspired.
Append: And then I clicked the picture and saw it was the Nukara shields. The hype is transcendent.

Yeah yeah, you keep your insecure epeen waving to yourself in your little bubble of numbers I don't give a flying frick about... I was trying to prove a point using the only statistic people seem to think only matters on a build - as I said, I have no need or desire to be parsed but if it happens, it happens - and as far as I know, 20k or so dps is the base level for elites so if someone who doesn't give two figs (or a diagram) can get that much out of it, an average dpser should easily exceed that using a bog standard faw bore build
That in effect proves its a decent ship.
As to your brothers cat, considering the oh so intelligent discourse in your post, I'd surmise if you are around said feline, its more about nurture and its environment than nature in regards to its lack of processing capabilities.
Of course the fact you think a cat can read, write and think cognitively enough to attempt exam certifications speaks volumes as well.
i think the reason people always whine about high ranking engineer seats is because the majority of eng abilities are not about damage, so people tend to avoid/ignore them.
Everyone loves the tac and sci top tier abilities because they are often directly damaging, but the engineering ones tend to be more about keep your ship alive.
and seeing as you can generally get by with just a copy of Sci Team, hazard emitters and TSS, generally people forget the others exist.
But anyone trying for a real tough build will love to get their hands of Aux2SIF, RSP3 and the like.

That's probably true, yeah. But there's so little PvE content that actually requires those extremities of tanking. Something like Sci-GW3 is universally useful, not just for damage but also control. And Tac - APO3 is universally useful, so much more than just damage. For me, 8 times out of 10, I'm using RSP3 if I have Eng Cmdr seating. I think I need to raise my Engineering game to get more out of the other options.

That's probably true, yeah. But with the ReGroup Trait (and 2 Krenims), I have all my Engi powers on global. So, that's Dampeners III on perma-active, giving wicked resists and turn-rate (always welcome on a carrier!), EPtW3 always-on, as well as EPtS1 and SiC2, and a spare ET1. That's not bad, per se.

the funny thing is that I love tanky builds on my engineers, I can just fly middle of swarm of enemies and stay there and my DPS isn't that bad because I can stay "in-combat" longer due not having to bob and weave out or be constant flying back from the spawn point.
so people don't seem to get that what really matters is your sustained DPS not your peak DPS.
At least ltcm eng is highly usefull for eptw3 and always a great one to have on a ship. For the cmd slot you could slot DEM 3, a2sif3, rsp3, a2damp3 as usefull stuff. dem for more shieldpen which make you kill the enemies faster at the end and to trigger marion, a great thing and the others are awesome to survive. rsp 3 with the fabrication doff to increase the duration.. a great "oooooh TRIBBLE" button. But for builds (and we have a bunch of eng based ships too^^), check out sto-league.com
But now, back to the thread, its about screenshots and i would love to see more great ones :>

Oh you also have a beautiful Vengeance which even has an engineer/intel Commander and a temporal Lt. seat.
If you happen to like to go more on the offensive with that beast of a ship check out the build suggestion of the peeps that run the event of this thread. The embassy sci consoles are not up to date anymore but could be easily exchanged with Assimilated Module and Temporal Entanglement Suit from Butterfly mission for example. Like @mmps hinted DPS intense builds that can take some beating at the same time are not mutual exclusive, even not in S13. This is my contemporary Vengeance build I use for HSE when I don’t know exactly for what kind of team I sign up for.

As if you were the only one getting off topic. My point: the thread is getting off topic, if you want to discuss your build and/or a completely different ship, you are welcome to start another thread.

Apologies if I took your comment overly personally. I believed it was directed to myself, because of the non-topic screenshots I had posted in response to peterconnor's comment to me. Indeed, back on topic
