Hello fellow STO players,
I'm pleased to announce that
Priority One Podcast will be interviewing Star Trek Online's Executive Producer Stephen "
Salami Inferno" Ricossa in the coming weeks. As always, we would like to get as many "community questions" answered during this interview so if you have anything that you would like to get answered, please reply to this post. Please keep in mind that this is a very high level interview so try to keep your questions relevant to that. I will post here again when the interview has been released. Thank you all in advance for your questions!

2- Are there any plans to start visualizing T7 ships in the near future?
3-What is the next major area to be looked in STO? KDF, a new semi faction, another Recruitment wave, PvP or exploration maps?

Romulans were never shown to have K'Tingas. Only D7s. Just being picky

Ummm... is that the same as pointing a weapon at somethings then firing until you know it know it is dead... then fire at it two or three dozen more times just to make sure?
What do you think were the team's greatest accomplishments in the last 12 or 6 months?
How is PvP doing with the new Competitive Reputation?
Any plans to add competitive marks to the "old" PvP content (Arenas PvP, Ker'rat etc.) ?
How is the match-maker doing?
What are the differences in PvP activity between the platforms, if any?
Then T6 versions of the Nova/Rhode Island and Sabre (with fully new models) to fully bring all the DS9 era ships up to scratch. Maybe throw a revamped T6 Vor'Cha in as well as other than the K'Vort it's the only missing endgame Klingon canon ship.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

B- Any foundry news?
Will the Foundry ever get new updates?
When will New Romulus get a finished city?
Will the day and night cycle ever be returned?
Thanks
Ditto (we're starting to suffer from significant bug accumulation in the editor over the last year or so). I would also ask more specifically: "Is there a prospect of revamping the Foundry mission journal UI or expanding on the Foundry top three system?" (ex. to make it easier to find certain types of Foundry missions in the sector block. The original system has been a magnificent feature for the Foundry community, further development would be wonderful.)
Notable missions: Apex [AEI], Gemini [SSF], Trident [AEI], Evolution's Smile [SSF], Transcendence
Looking for something new to play? I've started building Foundry missions again in visual novel form!
Q: What do you see as the next big opportunity for cross-promotion with other Star Trek properties after the TNG anniversary?
Q: Does STO's license with CBS allow you to draw content or inspiration from the Star Trek novels?
Q: How would you rate the success of the shift towards cross-faction ship bundles vs. Federation-only releases?
If you do ask any of these, my screen name is pronounced "Nike Nine"
Is there a reason why major changes keep being made to Red Alerts and there is never a Patch Note about them?
(Change to PVE Queues, removal of Temporal Maurauders, changes to the Borg award structure, scale down of Characters to 50 while NPCs are at 60, XP Boost Zone removed for examples).
l don't know.
l really don't know what l'm about to say, except l have a feeling about it.
That l must repeat the words that come without my knowledge.'
I'm thinking about the Diplomatic Distractions type DOff missions with a maximum duration of minutes, not hours or days.
Example: Your captain inspects a colony and determines his crew could help repair a broken irrigation system. The mission designer decides that it is a very easy mission which requires a Fabrication DOff and five minutes to complete.Cryptic decided the reward would scale with difficulty and resources, so this mission would not be very profitable, but its success or failure could affect the main episode storyline, as it does in DD.
Having my ship light up like a christmas tree is really hurting the space barbie endgame.
When can we play the races we want to ? ( Hirogen, Krenim, Cardasian, Jem'hadar ect. ect. ect.
Can you tell us about something BIG on the horizon? or at least hint at it?
I think awhile back (maybe even a year ago?) on P1, either you or Al/Geko remarked on the state of dilithium in STO. Back then the Dil/Zen Exchange rate was creeping towards 450, and seemed on track to hit the 500 ceiling without some quick intervention. You mentioned that there were players in the game who had amassed millions of extra dilithium, to the effect that there was supposedly several billions of excess dil in the game economy, contributing to the rising Exchange rates and whatnot. The super expensive costume packs were added to the game, but then you said those were only a stopgap, a 'one-time dil removal strategy for the really large dil hoarders', and weren't the main solution to the dilithium inflation issue; that there was another solution in the works to address the problems and remove much if not all of this excess dil from the game economy. Obviously by now we all know that solution to be the Phoenix Prize Pack, which over two runs so far has dipped the Dil Exchange rate down as far as the low to mid 200s. As of this writing the Dil Exchange rate is hovering just below 300, a significant improvement over this time last year. While this was coupled with other adjustments to dilithium in-game, such as the Turn in Contraband DOff assignment nerf, I think most folks would agree that the Phoenix Pack is the key reason for the dil stockpile reductions we've seen, and are grateful to you and the team for them.
So a few questions (Note to P1 team: If you can only ask a couple Qs, please ask the ones in bold ):
And second, any progress with overall pets following you?, Hangar pets and separation pets cannot follow you on full impulse, i know it took you guys a lot to fix the separation bug, the only thing missing is that pets to be able to follow at full impulse, could you comment on the problem itself and why is so difficult to crack down?
1) With a few well known exceptions, many of the older queues run very infrequently through the public queues if indeed they run at all. Are there any plans in the works to address this and breath new life into those queues reducing map burnout for older players and giving new players the opportunity to play a wider selection of the games content?
2) There's been a many examples over the years of content that's gone to Tribble buggy, been fixed and then gone buggy again on release to Holodeck or where changes simply seem to have been rushed out last minute with little or no testing (e.g. the new queue interface). Can you give us an idea of what QA processes you use to try and reduce this and also give the community some confidence that this is an area which is being addressed?
I'll love a solo queue system, or a minimal of 2 players, al least, in that way we can play the queues we want when we want them..
