Suggestion:- Can we please have a separate inventory tab for the new PVP consumables

yorethelyorethel Member Posts: 125 Arc User
I'd like to suggest that the Devs add a separate inventory tab for Competitive Wargames consumables.

Normally I have a bout 4-5 rows that are empty however since the introduction of the new Competitive Wargames Tree, the packs are giving me quite a lot of useful bits and pieces, I know I can sell them, or bank them, but given all the other stuff I need to keep like gear for other ships and specs I simply don't have anymore room and I don't want to sell them as I do plan to use them in the future.

I think this would be a useful addition and help out many players who are having the same problem.

I rather want to trade those supplies for something else.

Or perhaps an option to trade in unwanted consumeables from this rep for dilithium (50% of the purchase value)...

I'll take the pet tab over a PvP Consumable tab.

No. Buy more inventory if you need it, that's what it's there for.

Are those items only usable in PvP? If so I'll trash them.

Only PvP and maybe the competitive PvE. And they are worth 0 ECs

Dude... even with more inventory/bank slots, the sheer number of pets can fill up those spaces BIG TIME for collectors.

Seems like it would be a wasted effort. The consumables will just get trashed after people finish the competitive rep, assuming they haven't already. If we'd had the PvP revamp we were all expecting it might be a different story.

Yup and Competive PVE pretty useless otherwise with zero EC value or of use anywhere else.

since I can get the rep in borg RA I trash them immediately since I have no intention of ever doing cPvE or PvPeen

The thread is about the comprep consumables.

Pets and such non-combat vanity items actually could have free storage, since they don't affect gameplay.

I finally stopped opening the Competitive Wargames reputations packs and just delete them. Yeah, I miss out on 10k, but they are a nightmare in terms of cluttering up your inventory. And they are seemingly useless, I guess they only work in the competitive missions? I tried using them in Mirror Invasion and nothing happened, which cemented my decision.

Why not just open the box, collect your 10k and discard the consumables?

or at least store them in the device slots of ships. IMO it makes absolutely no sense that those PVP consumables have to be kept in the inventory.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

There's 9 or 10 of them at least which is way too many different things to be clogging up an inventory and up to 4 different ones can be in a single box.

None seem to be aimed at the ground map, no idea if more ground is planned but since marks are now from red alerts they've pretty much killed competitive content for all but the few.

I've been opening the boxes for the possible token for dil conversion and ec then junking the rest.

Its on a par with doing a series of ground missions and having a tribble in your bag.

The consumables (or at least some of them) work on both ground and space maps. The revives can be useful when dealing with those blue death ball things.

I'll think i'll just fleet bank them (comprep consumables) until I've got a few stacks of each...after that I'll just discard them.

If they could be used in regular PvE, some of them seem reasonably useful.

    Agreed. +1

At the very least they should STOP slotting these consumables on my Tray (where I can't even use them outside CPvE).

Also, you may be able to pick up a Strategum (Competitive 'Elite Mark'). So far I've seen about 10 different consumables, but that is only to Tier III.

I feel a little bit guilty because they are the product of someone's efforts, but I've yet to use a single one of those consumables. They get junked as soon as the next time I'm at the bar..

What might make them appealing to me is if the rep box dropped one really good one, instead of a bunch of minor, negligible things to sort through with my limited attention span.

THATS how many I have ATM. 15 different PvP ONLY powerups that I cannot even use since they killed the PvE competitive mission by allowing competitive marks to be earned in normal mark bonus missions.

GG Cryptic, the PvP revamp was a farce to push inventory slot sales. I had forgotten what a shifty bunch of marketing guru's you guys are.

No, what killed those missions is their own lack of appeal. Otherwise, people would still play them whether there were other options or not.

I can't say it was totally unappealing, tho I hated that twin trib mission about as much as that stupid mirror invasion. The draw for me was NOT the damage sponge rooms, but the reactor room. THAT was why I played the mission everyday since it was introduced. Now it won't even start since there's so few participants, and the launcher fails about 5 times before it actually starts the scenerio. Sad, I really liked that mission but I'm forced to pick up my marks like all the PvE (PvP haters) players out there, by running borg invasion multiple times a day since I don't have hour to spend waiting for that 1 instance where there might be 4 other players queuing for the PvE competitive core mission.

Sorry, IF I wanted a ground PvP game I'de go back to CoD on my console. As badly botched as space PvPE is in this game I can only imagine ground has to be worse since PvE ground is so bad.

I vote for PET tab...RISA Is coming soon and more pets/vacations stuff. I ran out of inventory slots and my bank almost getting there.

If DEVs want to sell PET tabs...I'm all for it too. CPVE consumables are garbage and not even vendors want them but synpathize with the lack of slots in game.

I told you that weeks ago. Other than an exploit people sometimes use on the other Team with the Flare Mortor, there is no direct Team interaction. That was supposed to be patched out on 5/4 but seems to have had a botched implementation.
