Not by STO 'canon'. There is no T6 Constitution in Star Trek canon either.
We have to go by what Cryptic is providing and labeling ships in-game even if completely out-of-wack.
These new ships are Advanced Light Crusiers or Advanced Light Battlecrusiers. Why a 'Light' Crusier would have the same number of weapons as a Crusier, Heavy Crusier, or Battlecrusier, I don't know. Why a 'Light' Battlecrusier would have less Inertia than a regular Battlecrusier, clueless. Why a supposed 'Light' Crusier would want to Attract Fire with generally less Hull (but not by much), who can say.
We are stuck with Cryptic's classification.
I kind of wonder at some of these myself. It's kind of late in the game to revamp somethings but to me a Heavy could mount dual beam arrays and dual cannons and a light restricted to just normal beam arrays and a single cannon. Kind of a step between the Escorts and Heavy cruisers with more hull and better shields then the Escort but not quite a heavy cruiser with better turn rates and inertia. Sort of like the Drednaught class ships of ww1 and early WW2 that used a cruiser hull for speed and agility with some of the firepower of a Battle ship but sacrificed armor to offset the massive weight of the 15 and 16 inch guns.
True, and it's so inconsistent and terrible, be it ships, weapons or anything else. Cryptic seems to name things spontaneously after whatever it is that just came up and sounds nifty but you can actually not even tell what a "battlecruiser" in STOverse is. There are four or five different types of ships that all are called "battlecruiser" (or "battle cruiser" or "battle-cruiser") it's staggering. "Light" and "Heavy" are terms just slapped onto something to make the name longer...
Add to that that the Miranda is actually supposed to use pulsed phaser cannons according to the DS9 TM and that there is an in-game model of it that has quite obvious cannons mounted to the sides having the T6 not use those makes no sense at all.
^ Memory Alpha.org is not canon. It's a open wiki with arbitrary rules. Only what can be cited from an episode is. ^
"No. Men do not roar. Women roar. Then they hurl heavy objects... and claw at you." -Worf, son of Mogh
"A filthy, mangy beast, but in its bony breast beat the heart of a warrior" - "faithful" (...) "but ever-ready to follow the call of the wild." - Martok, about a Targ
"That pig smelled horrid. A sweet-sour, extremely pungent odor. I showered and showered, and it took me a week to get rid of it!" - Robert Justman, appreciating Emmy-Lou
I did about a page back. Man, that thing is a bulldog of a ship: ugly but awesome. I could see it given a second life as a fleet repair ship or mobile starbase. It has the stats of a T3 ship, but I'd still buy it.
I am one of those people who actually wanted a Typhoon class, and of course its design isn't perfect but to me it looks nice over all and a few tweaks could probably perfect it.
I would love a T6 Constellation class with the ability to use the lower tier skin.
Never ask for stuff from Cryptic by stating you would pay as much as a T6 Ship Bundle. You never know what crazy pricing they may charge, but it would never be put in the C-Store anyway.
At best, it would be a single Character unlock and the Dilitium Store would be their venue. Consider it like specialized Outfits (see Enterprise MACO) and put it in the Dilitium Store for 2 Million Dilitium.
