Why lock the tray when the frakking game still puts other skills on it by its self, or change the skills on the tray by its self, I have the second tray set up for self and other, go into combat and suddenly I have torpedo skills where I did have heals set up.

- Did you respec?
- Did you change ships?
- Did you remove gear that grants clicky powers in order to upgrade it?
- Did you change traits that grant clicky powers?
All of these can change your tray, because you temporarily lost access to some skills or (for new ships) you started out with 0 bridge officers.

A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"
"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch."
"We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"
It's there to help the newbies who might otherwise never see their skills because they never learned to add things to the tray.
i end up having to manually open my power list to slot stuff that SHOULD have been automatically added and wasn't

I'd be willing to pay 20 bucks for an option to turn that off ... once I have them set to auto fire I don't ever need to see weapons for that ship again
This happens to me as well. I ended up putting all the emotes on an empty tray and then hiding it away. If I had known those emotes would be so annoying I wouldn't have bought them lol.
And of course every time you commission a new ship, it forgets the positions of all the buttons (even the ones that are always the same like captain powers) and fills the trays up with random junk again. Sorting it all out every time is the most frustrating part of setting up a ship.
Agreed. I thought they'd work like our ground emotes, either from a list or chat command, not a tray clicky.

You do not need them in your tray if you are using auto fire or even if you aren't you can click on the specfic weapon you want just by clicking on it in your weapons panel.
Are you frustrated? See, lock tray does have a use!
That's my point, I commission a ship, unhide my weapons panel, right click all my weapons, and hide the weapons panel. There's absolutely no need for every weapon I ever equip to be forcibly dropped onto my tray.
Yup, I'd prefer if a new ship's tray was just blank. Takes 2x as long to clear it and then refill it.
My character Tsin'xing
Idk about anyone else, but I myself keep a blank space between different groups of abilities to help me keep track of it all, when everything is all bunched together I have trouble finding specific abilities

Autoslotting Default Settings
I wish there was some way to give at least some general guidelines to the tray when it comes to auto-slotting, and it should ideally be applied to all characters
1) Set a default Tray for new stuff, so that my "main" trays aren't mucked around
2) A default place for Captain Powers (one setting per Captain class)
3) A way to determine whether weapon powers are to be added to the tray at all.
4) Assigning default trays for certain set of powers (say, all device powers go into Tray 1, all weapons into Tray 2, all science skills into Tray 3). This still would not give me how I actually configure my trays, but it wold at least sort them into logical places.
Master Tray Configuration Mode
Alternatively, it would be nice to have a "configure all my trays" system that shows all me to see all the trays at once, maybe with some extra trays for powers not yet on tray, so I can organize my trays in one big step instead of moving through all the trays individually, switching back & forth, and looking through the scroll down list of powers to find missing or lost stragglers.
Once I have my tray cleaned up and put like I like it, the occassional power being added isn't such a big deal. (The ocassional power being moved around is still annoying.)
And console-style autofire so I wouldn't need to set up keybind trays for that, too.
This right here is incredibly annoying. I regret buying them and advise anyone to stay away from them for this reason.
They are really persistent slotting themselves in empty spaces or especially on keybind trays, so lots of sadface and downvotes along with my buffs till I remove them, over and over.
> We do have auto fire already. It works fairly well, apart from most targetable torpedos.
and mines aren't the best for auto fire either
Skill bars should prioritise player and boff skills not fluff
I've had my bars reset a couple of times recently without respeccing or swapping vessels and I make sure to save the loadout before going off and doing something if I happen to tweak it. Not that the bar change ever goes back to how it was before.
