Lukari ground tailor unlock

I suppose these work differently than older ground tailor unlocks. I have all three ground pieces, I've put them on my character, but when I visit the tailor I don't see how to fit the new look nor do I see a project to unlock them under the reputation tab. What am I doing wrong?

The Lukari uniform doesn't have a special tag, it's under uniform - tight. Curiously, there are options missing. For example, the gloves are labeled "Lukari Gloves 2" - glove #1 is nowhere to be found, though.

Lukari outfit is like the Terran Taskforce one. Mixed in with normal uniform parts.

Gah! Don't say that, they may want to make them exclusive to one category other than "uniforms" and then we won't be able to mix-match the pieces anymore!

Gloves 1 might be part of the set Kumari wears during our first exploration mission with her.

Kuumaarke pig-1.gif But you are probably right, I did consider this as well. The question is, why didn't we get that outfit with the featured episode, like we did get the Kobali (too many things in Trekverse end on "i" pig-2.gif) uniform. I'd love to see them giving it away in the next FE since I'd love to see my Lukari crew in something different than the "armour" variant. I have a "duty" variant made up with the armour parts (basically without shoulder, helmet etc. and some intel pieces mixed in) but I would like to get Kuumaarke's outfit.

I think the question is why did cryptic bother designing a second Lukari uniform in the first place? It's like they're setting themselves up to do more with the species at some point in the future. :p

I hope they do, I like original stories that do not require constant revisiting and rewriting of canon stuff. I hope the Lukari become what the Deferi should have been and get some more background, a functioning social zone, more ships, DOFFs, BOFFs and maybe even be playable at some point - even if that means I have to reroll my Lukari character again pig-44.gifpig-47.gif

More likely the first Lukari parts are restricted to Kuumaarke, specifically because she is the only ground Lukari NPC we've seen so far. Tailor made, as it were. The second parts are probably scaled for use by the various character models, allowing them to be easily changed due to bugs or what not, without affecting the Kuumaarke model's costume.

How do you say "more likely?" I don't think there's any specific evidence for your scenario happening in this case.

For a start, Kuumaarke isn't a tailor made character. She's a female humanoid using the type 05 face and alien-gen parts. If given her new eyes and uniform, we'd be able to make a perfect facsimile ourselves (unlike, say, the Tzenkethi which do use a new model). Furthermore, there isn't any particular reason to suppose that these new options would be more difficult to make player-ready than any other NPC customization option we've received (see. Reman, Voth, Krenim, Herald, Ithenite, Sphere Builder, Vaadwuar, Kobali, Terran Empire, Hirogen, Jem'Hadar, ect.) If it's simply a question of enabling slider/color options that weren't baked in from the start, then setting those up for a new uniform set would present an equivalent challenge.

So without exceptional evidence (ie. a dev somewhere saying that they had a FUBAR situation in trying to use sliders on Kuumaarke's uniform) it's implausible that developing a second Lukari uniform set was done for technical or time-saving reasons. It's simply enough to say that Cryptic wants two sets. Kuumaarke's may be intended to remain special (simply to make her more distinguished) or it could be part of future release plans. We'll just have to see.

Looks like a combination of TOS, MACO and I think the Dyson boots recoloured/textured.

There's a newer one, updated I think with Artifacts. It's in the same style as the reputation set but more "uniform" and less "armor."

Maybe it was the original version of what the Lukari Armour was suppose to be? It has some similarities with the armor :/ Looks cool either way.

I'd guess the Kuumarke outfit will be a reward at the end of the arc. Possibly limited time. Like the Kobali armor, I think?

I thought they said they were never going to do that with Featured Episodes again.
