Getting a refund for a Lobi purchase? (Don't laugh.)

I picked up the Ithenite uniform last night and I'll be honest, it was just for the fez.

Unfortunately it can't be used with formal wear, which was a big disappointment. Even worse, it's not usable with the Klingon eyepatch or some of the beard styles so basically my character would have to grow a new eye to wear it. Another minor niggle is that it's not actually a fez but I was prepared to let that go if that were the only problem.

To cut a long story short, what are the prospects of getting my Lobi crystals back in exchange for losing access to a uniform I can't wear?

I know there's more to the unlock than the hat, but let's be frank: I'm not the only one who is only getting it for the fez.

More chance of winning the Euro-Lotto.

More chance when you just make a ticket for it at support. We can do nothing for you here (except maybe the CM, if he sees it).

Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

Fezzes are cool, but let this be a lesson to others:

Do your homework BEFORE making a purchase, not after.

Are you suggesting people make the effort of reading, when typing up a complaint is way more effort!? Gotta love the Irish way of doing things!! lol. :)

Read what? It's not like the description lists the various costume parts that something won't work with.

As for raising a ticket, this is a problem with a KDF uniform. Enough said really.

You had 2 options before spending the lobi:

    - Use the tribble server to test it yourself
    - Ask here to hear from people who have used the costumes on holodeck or tribble.

You should be asking them to remove those arbitrary restrictions instead.

Honestly, you have a higher chance of appealing to the devs to let the fez work with formal wear than you do getting a Lobi refund.

You wanted to make a sterotype James Bond-esque villian wearing a tuxedo, fez, eyepatch and beard. Too bad the game doesn't have a Walther P-38.

I see no reason to troll the OP, he explained in a civil manner why he cannot use it.

Let us know how it works out for you.

It's the very first Rule of Acquisition: "Once you have their money, you never give it back." :)

Having said that, I hope the OP gets his refund; he made a cogent case.

I don't know.. I would make a ticket and give it a shot..

What's the worst that can happen? They just say no?

I do agree that I doubt that Support will help you, but you never know. I have seen them honor requests in the past that I didn't think they would do, so I won't say there is no chance of you getting a refund.

Make a ticket and see if they'll help you, my only advice would be that you be as polite and professional as possible. I personally believe you should get the refund, hopefully the analyst looking at your ticket will feel the same way.

Depends. From what I have heard from fleetmates opening tickets. Generally those that spend a lot of money on the game get help with their problems and the free players are kind of ignored. One guy from my fleet bought a bunch of keys...put them up on the exchange for the wrong price 500k instead of 5 million and he opened a ticket and cryptic gave him back his zen. Even though it was his own fault for putting the keys up for the wrong price.

When you say make a ticket, are you talking about the "Request GM Help" thing or "Report a Bug"? I've never needed a GM before and when I report bugs they never appear in My Tickets so I wondered if they were just being sent to the bit bucket.

This is why the Tribble server exists, OP.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

Customer Support not bug reports or GMs. You might have to go to the Arc pages instead of doing it in-game. I've never needed to find out.

By the time I read this I'd already raised ticket #4,344,296. I'll try looking for the customer support pages.

edit: It appears in my list of questions on the support pages so I'll just cross my fingers and wait to see what the answer is.
