Out of curiosity, what is the highest ranked DPS ship on KDF side (not counting the cross faction and 31c ships)
D7 and T6 Sci Flagship with console set 3 piece.
Let me guess, due to ominous device and the temporal boff seating?
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
>> Of course. But one could interpret it that way. With all the one-minute ISA runs of a mission that was designed to last at least FIFTEEN TIMES AS LONG.
If the average map duration of ISA is not to your liking currently I suggest you run missions with a more preset timer. We really have some variety of those by now. I always play the maps I like to play and can really recommend doing the same to you.
>> Another hard to understand decision.
I use it for DPS measuring simply because I like to use it. It’s probably a thingy of habit as well as an evolutionary one from the two major leagues. All alternatives I tried where not as much fun and as you can imagine, no fun is bad when you like to play.
>>"Players like me"? What kind of players would that be?
Players who seem to have a problem with the fact that others like to measure their game results in DPS and then realize that those others have better results.
>> Stopped reading right there. You offered to answer questions, but instead you started to preach.
That’s too bad as my basic ships stats are not representative to the slightest. They change at will depending how I set my boff powers, traits and sometimes even consoles for the respective run I intend to do.
>>Not interested.
That much is obvious by now.

They appeared to start off with an "agenda" in terms of their posts and it just went from there. Yeah. Was pretty obvious and funny given their sig.
On a different note, are Disruptors the new AntiProton? I was looking at some builds on stoleague and they were all using Disruptors. And if so, why is that?

As far as I know Disruptors are favored a bit cuz of two things at the moment.
Main one is the special Terran reputation weapon. It is much stronger than all other weapons in game but it is only available as disruptor energy (array as well as cannon can be selected):
On most parses I do it reads like 50% more than the other guns so with it you have kind of 8,5 instead of 8 weapons.
Another favor of disruptor energy are coalition disruptors. The proc is quiet nice for high performance but to get them with decent mods is sadly not cheap.
While 3 out of my 10 toons ended up with disruptor weapons I decided against upgrading the others as it would not only be boring but also risky business when cryptic suddenly decided to shift the meta again.
What’s quiet cool atm is that worth of tac consoles seems to be less and less important. In order not to be dependent on a single energy type one can easily exchange energy specific consoles with universal ones (+beam or + cannon vulnerability locaters from spire). One only loses a tiny bit in that trade which is made up already when being able to integrate the terran bank as a result.
On my linked build I did so with a former plasma build which now can use all energy types if I like to. You also find a singel Herald AP array there too. If it procs it boosts all weapons of the ship.

Thanks for the info. I've actually been running disruptors on a few toons for awhile now so it's nice to see this. I don't think I have a single Antiproton build lol. I did also notice some builds that were using mixed energy weps for set bonuses and then +beam tac consoles. Trying to decide now if I want to go +beam on some new builds or stick with energy specific ones. I have been using +beam and +cannon on my rainbow builds so maybe I'll do that for everyone as well.
May come across to you. Not to me (or others). Hunting for performance, either asked by others or yourself, can be a rewarding goal. Often but not always the planning is the more exciting part. And the usefulness of said performance is your own enjoyment. I am not a "competitive" STO player, I like to have good builds but don't measure my DPS and will favor an ability or console I like over one that may perform better unless it cripples me, but I know from my other hobbies that hunting for achievements (I don't mean Cryptic's achievements in this game, although they may be an example if you like it) is fun and can be rewarding. Heck, I even know it from here despite my goals being completely different ones.
